HISTORY OF THIS FAQ
July 4, 1999
------------
Los Angeles Machine Guns: Rage of the Machines have been out for half a
year now and I'm hoping that much of my knowledge lost within time can
still help beginners play the game properly. I'm going to point some
important tips on how to play a well-built linked game since much of this
document will assume that you are on one-player.
Happy Independence Day. And remember, don't drink too much.

----------------
Just an update based upon legal considerations. That's all I'm going to
spit out.
I gave out a review that you will be seeing at GameFAQs.com during the
next day or so to see how well I rate the game. So far I didn't bother
give the game a good rating because of its frustrating gameplay but the
Model 3's capabilities save the game's butt.

WHAT IS LA MACHINE GUNS?
Like Gunblade NY, LA Machine Guns is a first-person, air-travelling
chase, dual-player Machine Gun Deluxe Game where you defend a huge city
against a horde of androids. However, the similarities between the two
Anti-Android Games ends here. Let me tell you why:
* Unlike Gunblade NY, LA Machine Guns only has one game with 5 missions,
in which 4 missions are selectable at the start of the game.
* The game takes place 20 years after Gunblade NY
* Gunblade NY uses Model 2, LA Machine Guns uses Model 3 Step 2. To
tell you the truth, the Dreamcast-derived Naomi Board provides as much
power as the Model 3.2, but at a lower price tag.
LA Machine Guns uses the same light gun controller as with Gunblade NY
which vibrates as you fire ammunition right at the androids. Both
Gunblade NY and LA Machine Guns are available in both 50 inch and 27
inch cabinets, but LA Machine Guns' 50-incher features a simulated
SIFAT Platform that you step on that vibrates as you kill an android.
The simulated Platform gives you a feel that you are actually riding
along a SIFAT Aircycle.
LA Machine Guns now have innocent bystanders that you need to avoid in
order to keep your score very high. This was necessary so that you
don't tire yourself with the vibrating Machine Gun after the game is
over. Now holding the trigger all the way isn't the answer to all of
your android headaches.
Sadly, the gameplay is far from perfect in this one because sometimes
you get confused at "which android" you are tagging along. Enough said,
let me give you my review as stated on the next section
========================================================================
MY LA MACHINEGUNS REVIEW
This review won't be shared with Seganet (in which I submitted a review
of their own), but based upon my thoughts submitted at GameFAQs.com:
Gunblade NY has been AM3's answer to Yu Suzuki's acclaimed Virtua Cop.
While Gunblade features androids causing trouble at a big city, LA Machine
Guns takes that to the next level with Model 3 Type 2 with a so-so story
and only one storyline to follow.
The gameplay is reminicient of Gunblade NY's, but the terrorists are now
easier to defeat, thanks to the 60FPS capacity. The terrorists will escape
if you have to tag them along, and at times you have to slam on them
repeatedly until he goes down. Unfortunately, many terrorists will try
to come out at you and the cam only targets one terrorist at a time,
causing big frustration at times. Sometimes there are far away targets
and it's hard to get a good shot because each shot is not channeled at
the same spot your mouse was pointed at. Also, the crosshairs are not
visible on the game, making clean shots difficult.
The graphics and the animation are a real improvement over Gunblade NY's.
Like I said before, the 60FPS is a welcome feature, with only minimal
slowdown. Unfortunately, the innocent bystanders would use a little
work as there are far too many polygons on them. Otherwise the polygons
are smoothened up in almost all cases, such as fighter helicopters,
fat androids, and such.
You won't be satisfied to find out that LA Machine Guns only have one
storyline to follow, but you can select from one of the first four stages
from the beginning of the game, depending on how good you are on this
game. I'd just wished that there would be two storylines instead of
1. However, the mission on Stage 1 is overused, as some new concepts
must be used in order to give this game some originality. AM3 doesn't
score high on originality on this one, though.
To conclude, you really don't have to play this game unless you want
some fun at your arcade, and unless you are at GameWorks and other
high-end arcades. The enemy lock-in confusion is for the hardcore
strafer, but if you are into more of the steady firing, then stick to
either Yu Suzuki's Virtua Cop series, Namco's Time Crisis, or Konami's
Silent Scope.

STORY OF LA MACHINE GUNS
August 7th, 2025
----------------
We are now looking at the blue sky housing plenty of android terrorists
planning to attack Los Angeles by surprise. The only way they can launch
an effective attack is to cause a distraction while the President of the
United States is making a speech to the citizens residing at the Los
Angeles Area. And guess what?! The President happens to be at the
brand new building that isn't seen in present-day Los Angeles!!!
The Androids are now attaching themselves within the skyscrapper waiting
for a right time to "bomb" the place and cause a distraction. It seems
that their first objective is to kidnap the president!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As the President makes the crowd cheer at him, the building explodes,
and the Android Terrorists are now scaring the citizens away!!! WTF are
these sicko Android Terrorists were doing remains the question but as
I'm seeing two green-suits closing in on the President, a scientist is
examing the President hoping that he will get some Military Secrets
from him!!! The Scientist (leader of this sicko mess) orders the
Androids to abduct the President by Helicopter. Is there anybody who
can teach these sickoes a lesson?!
Same Date, SIFAT Helicopter
---------------------------
We are now inside one of SIFAT's helicopters housing two SIFAT Agents.
As the SIFAT guys are charging up their Air Cycles, they are now receiving
a distress signal from their leader stating that a group of unidentified
terrorists are attempting to kidnap the president straight from Downtown
Los Angeles. Orders are given to extract from the President from the
grasp of the terrorists immediately.
Enter Wild Bee, an operation that has been initiated to defend the
Pacific US from a group of unidentified sickoes called "Rage of the
Machines".
Can you save the government and the Pacific US from these disgusting
Android Terrorists? It's up to you if you want to go to your nearest
GameWorks, Dave and Buster's, or any other arcade that honors Deluxe
Machines and supress these sick hostiles!!!
========================================================================
HOW TO PLAY THE GAME
Insert the amount of tokens required to play the game (For Enchanted
Castle Pizza at Lombard, IL USA, 4 Tokens or $1.00 US; Dave and Buster's
Addison, IL US 5.2 Chips or US $1.72 for Regular Cards, 4.7 Chips or US
$1.55 for Gold Eligible/Gold Cards; for GameWorks at Schaumburg, IL USA
7.5 Game Points or $1.50 US) and press the start button to start playing.
Use the gun to move the Gun Sight around the screen. Pull the trigger
to fire unlimited 20-millimeter ammo and strafe right at the Androids.
The Android is destroyed when you land enough shots on him or if you hit
the Android directly in his head.
The Missiles can be shot. However, if you get hit by any of the Enemy
Missiles, you will lose one life. The game ends if you lose all three
lives (four lives for Dave and Buster's).
If you clear the stage before time expires, then the mission is
successfully completed. If time expires, then the mission is unsuccessful.
In order to reach Stage 5, YOU MUST successfully complete the other 4
missions.
If you accidentially hit cops and/or innocents, you will lose 5000 points
so BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERSTRAFE THE GUN!!!
Always try to hit something that will keep the score multiplier intact.
If the multiplier meter runs to "0", then the multiplier will reset to
"1" so make sure that whatever you aiming at will extend the multiplier
for periods of time. The maximum multiplier value is "50". I was able
to verify this because I've reached 54 Chain Hits at Alcatraz one time!
If you successfully complete a mission, here is how you will receive
bonus points:
* Your points go up for every unused second
* Your points go up if you achieve higher Chain Hits overall
* Your points go down with every life you lose, so MAKE SURE THAT YOU
HIT THE ENEMY MISSILES AT ALL COSTS!!!
* Your points go down with every innocent bystander you accidentially
hit, SO TAKE EXTRA CARE WHEN USING YOUR 20-MILLIMETER THIS TIME!!!
This isn't like Gunblade NY, where you hold the Trigger and continue
to strafe until the Androids perish!!!
If the game ends because you lose all given lives, you can continue.
Be sure that you plunk in the money and press the start button before
the 20 second countdown expires. Pulling the Trigger rapidly will only
cause the countdown to go faster.
All cinemas can be cancelled by pressing the Start Button.
========================================================================
THE ENEMY ANDROIDS
In the future, I will try to explain the Gunblade NY's Android Types.
For now, let me try to explain much of LA Machine Guns' grotesque
sickoes who tried to kidnap a president, help a human convict escape,
and rob a bank-armored vehicle.
Shannon Type 35 (Green Suits): The weakest androids in the game. They
don't move to avoid your gunfire so hitting their missiles shouldn't
be that tough. You should dispose these sickoes pretty easily.
Jason Type B880 (Flying White Androids): Possibly the weakest flying
androids in the game. They can be disposed of like you would with the
Shannons, but they might have a little bit more ferocity than the
Shannons.
Elias Type 106 (Airbike Androids): Appearing exclusively at the Los
Angeles chase scenes where you try to locate the kidnapped President,
these guys attack you while they are commandeering. Hit the Eliases
at their heads and/or bodies to dispose of them quickly. If you try
to drag the Elias off his bike by hitting the Bike, then they can take
pretty damn long to off.
John Type 55 (Red Suits): They're a lot tougher than the Shannons. They
can dodge your gunfire and they even shoot missiles that are a lot harder
to destroy than the easy-to-destroy missiles.
Ron Type G51 (Waterproof Androids): A lot weaker than the Shannons,
you can just beat these lame bozos by just giving them the ooze at the
head since they don't dodge your shots and just shoot weak missiles at
you. These guys show up exclusively at Alcatraz. Sometimes they jump
from the water and throw missiles at you so you may need to neutralize
them before they even fire a single missile at you.
Barry Type 902 (Waterbike Androids): They're similar as with the Eliases
you might have encountered at Downtown Los Angeles except they take longer
to be defeated. Also, they will dodge your gunfire, so be prepared to
hit them at their bikes (though it takes longer this way). They tend to
position themselves at a place where you can't get a clean shot at their
bodies.
Jeff Type 39 (Yellow Androids): Appearing exclusively at Las Vegas, these
jokers will dodge your gunfire and will use only close attacks to punch
you directly at your bike!!! Let them come close (since there may be
innocents that you don't want to hit anyway) and hit them in the head
for the best results.
Craig Type G335 (Obese Androids): These Obese weapon-haulers fire
oodles and oodles of missiles at you, making survival really difficult.
They can take a lot of pounding before being defeated, so try to get
some shots at the head.
Jim Type 332 (Red-Suit Flying Androids): Stronger and more ferocious
than a Jason, Jims have a bad habit dodging your gunfire and tend to
appear in large groups, making survival and android neutralization
difficult. Deal with a Jim like you would with a Jason.
Ryan Type 908 (Black-Suits): They're bad news since they use acrobatic
skills to dodge your gunfire and they can also fire missiles at a variety
of positions, even sometimes taking you out by surprise.
Las Vegas Tanks: Exclusively appearing at Las Vegas, these tanks fire
rounds of powerful missiles at you. Hit them at the turret to dispose
of them.
Robert Type 115 (White Suits): Even a lot deadlier than the Johns but
not as acrobatic as the Ryans. They seldomly need to jump and relocate
since they fire really powerful missiles at you. Some Roberts are
housed in a really powerful turret. Aim directly at the Robert's head
to destroy the Turret as well.
Gary Type 104 (Naked Androids): Punitively weak, deal with them like
you would with a John and a Shannon.
Missile Platforms: Two Shannons are firing powerful missiles at you.
If you can dispose the Shannon commandeering the flying Missile Platform,
then the platform itself is finished.
Turrets in an Airplane: Powerful Missiles Galore!!! At the Final Stage,
the enemies are heavily armed and you must dispose as many of these
chachinaters to reduce the resistance done by the ROM!
Terrence Type 9955 (Hanglider Androids): The most powerful flying androids
in the game. They fire oodles of really powerful missiles at you and
they will take plenty of beating to be destroyed unless you hit them
at the head part that is!!!
========================================================================
OPERATION WILD BEE: DESTROY RAGE OF THE MACHINES AT ALL COSTS
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Los Angeles=Downtown (Beginner)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: August 7, 2025
Time over Target: 15:00 Hours
Operation Time Limit: 240 Seconds
Mission: Extract the President
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have received reports of Military Aggression somewhere in Downtown
Los Angeles. They are a full-strength army, but we have not been able
to settle in the details.
Their aim is to kidnap the President, who is now around the Downtown
District.
Your mission is to rescue the President from the Combat Zone Immediately.
You are permitted complete destruction over unidentified Android
Terrorists.
We value your success.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Opening Scene: This is Adam 12!!! They're all over 6th and Flower!!!
They're Monsters!!!! Can't stop them!!!!
Uh-oh, looks like the LAPD are in deep trouble. Approaching the area
where you see poor LAPD Officers beaten to death by two Shannons, you
decided to help out. These Shannons are wimpy, just hit them in the
head for the best results. Now the LAPD wants you to help them find
the President at all costs, so let's get going!!!
Shoot the cars to keep the Multiplier in place. When you turn right,
you will approach three Jason-type Androids. You will encounter another
trio of Jason-type Androids. Be careful that you don't hit any innocent
bystanders here as you try to destroy the 6 Jasons.
We've finally confirmed enemy reinforcements at the Parking Lot. Try
to hit the cars and gang up on the eventually-coming helicopter but
be careful not to hit the innocents that show up somewhere at the
streets. Destroy the helicopter first, then the Jasons, Shannons, and
the Robert right in the Turret.
Still no sign of the President. Well, we've got to continue search
efforts anyway. Until the point that we can see the President, you will
fight mainly Jasons and Eliases. Don't worry: Just shoot their missiles
and aim for the head of the Eliases. The Jasons shouldn't be that bad,
though.
After fighting through Jasons and Eliases, we've finally got a fix of
the President. These sickoes are now trying to force him inside the
Helicopter!!!
I personally would try to destroy the Helicopter first. Be careful
that you don't accidentially touch the President as each shot counts
as an Innocent Bystander and will deduct 5000 points for every shot.
The shots should only land on the Shannons and Johns that try to throw
the Pres inside the Helicopter. Be careful of the Johns since they tend
to dodge and throw powerful missiles at you. Once you take rid of the
Shannons and Johns (and prevented the President from being taken away
from Los Angeles), it's not over yet.
WARNING: Large hostile aircraft is headed your way.
---------------------------------------------------
Aim at the Missile Launchers first, and take care of the engines. When
the Aircraft loses 25% energy, then it will throw an array of missiles
by using some sort of Missile Container. Destroy the Containers before
the screen is laden with missiles. The weak point of this boss is the
Cockpit. Try to land all shots right at the cockpit. When it loses 75%
of its energy, it will try to escape and throw several Jasons to prevent
you from securing the President. You can destroy the Aircraft right away
and secure the President in a flash, but I personally would take some time
to destroy at least 4 Jasons before going ahead to secure the Pres.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alcatraz=Military Prison (Intermediate)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: August 8, 2025
Time over Target: 07:00 Hours
Operation Time Limit: 350 Seconds
Mission: Prevent the Enemy Androids from taking a convict with them,
assist friendly forces.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have received reports of heavy damage from friendly forces at Alcatraz
Military Prison. Enemy Androids are apparently armed and dangerous.
Some Androids are infiltrating the compound underwater while others are
infiltrating through Water Bikes.
Your mission is to assist the authorities at all costs. Prevent the
Androids from taking a convict with them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We receive a message from the Warden at Alcatraz that he can't stand
any longer. No worries as the SIFAT are coming up.
You will face a few Rons atop a battleship and then you will face several
Rons jumping in and out from the water shooting missiles at you. You will
face two-three more Rons atop a battleship before facing the first group
of Barry-types of three. After destroying the first group of Barry-types,
you will face a group of four Barries.
Now you are in Alcatraz. However, you have to face a few Jasons who
found out that you've arrived to assist the authorities. Off these
Jasons. Now the authorities are having trouble trying to kill several
Rons at the bridge. After finishing your assistance at the Bridge,
several more Jasons will come to attack you. Now you can go back
assisting the poor cops in the destruction of the Ron-types before
finding out that the ROM has went inside the shore for some reason...
Now it's time to go inside the shore (finding out that cops are having
trouble defeating the Johns and Rons that are slamming on them) but
another group of Jasons are interfering with you. Off the Jasons and
then rid the Johns and Rons before anymore cops can suffer. If you
hit the barrel, then your Score Multiplier will extend longer. Be
careful that you do not hit any cops by accident.
As you rid the Johns and Rons that are overwhelming the cops, several
Rons will be jumping in and out of the water to throw missiles at you.
Once you rid the Johns and Rons at the shore, you will have to destroy
four Rons that are trying to get a convict out of the Rock. Kill these
John-types before they try to do so.
A hovercraft is coming and two Shannons found out that you are assisting
the cops in halting their efforts to grab one of the Convicts. Rid the
Shannons, and then face the Johns and Rons that are still trying to get
one of their convicts out of the Rock. After defeating all the Johns
and Rons, it looks like that the Shannons have finally succeeded in taking
one of the convicts with them. The hovercraft is now escaping, and it's
time to chase them and prevent the convict from escaping before it's
too late!!!
As you chase the escaping Hovercraft, three Eliases will guard the
Hovercraft. Shoot only the missiles and the Hovercraft as none of the
enemies are easily defeated since they are hard to see.
Unfortunately, there's been quite a commotion as the convict boarded
the inside of the Hovercraft to release the high energies from within.
WARNING: High energy readings detected from the hovercraft's cargo.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
This guy is tough. Not one of the easier bosses, this obese android
moves with great agility.
This obese android has five stages of attack. The first stage involves
him hovering around the water while shooting missiles at you. His
second stage only happens when he's underwater. Hit all of his missiles
as soon as you see them. However in his third stage, he will shoot 6
missiles at the same time, making survival difficult. Once he loses
about 45% of his energy bar, he will go onto his fourth stage of his
attack. He will fire missiles while jumping, leaping, and so forth and
you must try to tag him and make sure he doesn't dodge or he may play
a little hide and seek. Once he's down to about 15%, he'll dive onto
the water and charge up for his fifth stage. As soon as he comes out
of the water, hit him and when he charges up for the shot that can't
be destroyed by your shots, hit him at the head part of his body until
he can't take it anymore.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Las Vegas=The Strip (Advanced)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: August 8, 2025
Time over Target: 23:45 Hours
Operation Time Limit: 360 Seconds
Mission: Stop *reinforced* Android Bank Robbery
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unidentified Enemy Androids are now approaching the Mountain Time Zone.
Apparently, Terrorists have offed a Bank Armored Vehicle and have seeked
to steal $500 Billion US for their Military Funding.
Enemy Reinforcements are approaching the strip in order to complete the
Armored Vehicle Robbery Mission.
Citizens are panicking at this grotesque Armored Vehicle Robbery backed
by reinforcements to retrieve all the monies inside the downed Bank
Armored Vehicle.
While you are trying to bring Vegas under control (and to prevent a
possible robbery) by destroying the Android Robbers, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL
NOT TO HIT THE PANICKING CITIZENS BY ACCIDENT.
The final reinforcement of the Terrorists will be made by a Multi-Ped
Tank called "Spike Head", which will carry all the stolen money from
the fallen Armored Vehicle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK Now what's up with the ROM anyway?! A Bank Armored Vehicle downed
in front of the Citizens' faces?! Poor citizens. Now I got it. These
Androids are trying to rob an armored vehicle with some reinforcements!!!
As you try to approach the scene of the robbery, several Jeffs will try
to prevent you from reaching the scene of the robbery. Wait until a
Jeff comes up to you and then slam the android because if you carelessly
strafe around the strip, chances are that you will be hitting a panicking
citizen by accident, which reduces points. Once you finish the first
wave of Jeffs, you will have to face 5 Johns. Your main concern while
trying to destroy the 5 John-types is to watch out for citizens getting
in your way.
Now let's go to that scene where the start of the panicking began. The
only androids who will be attacking you are the John-types. The Shannon
types are just trying to pick up the cases they are supposed not to
touch anyway. Off these sickoes and you will see three helicopters
not apparently happy to see what you have done to their lead-off men.
You can destroy the choppers if you want to. Remember, the more choppers
you destroy, the less Craigs and Johns you have to face. If not, then
be prepared to defend yourself from a horde of Craigs who attack with
plenty of kinks while travelling backwards.
After you defeat the first wave of Craigs, you will have to face a
horde of Johns at the Parking Lot and some incoming Craig-Types that will
interfere with your hostile-suppresion flow. Again, be careful of the
citizens that are walking around the area.
With the Johns and Craigs down (and the Armored Vehicle Robbers downed),
you will face three tanks who are not happy due to the fact that you've
destroyed their lead-off men. Hit the tanks at the turrets. Now after
you defeat the tanks, you will have to face several Jeff-Types and a few
Ryan-Types. The Jeffs are easy, but the Ryans are bad news since they
use acrobatic skills to dodge your gunfire and can also catch you by
surprise during one of their acrobatic skills. Off the Jeffs and Ryans
and you will see three more choppers coming only to find out that you
destroyed their lead-off men.
On the air, you will fight the Jims for the first time. They are more
ferocious than the Jason-Types and they appear in rather large groups,
making survival difficult. To top all of that, you will be facing several
Craig-Types. I personally would dispose the Craigs before going on to
fight the Jim-Types. Now we got the Multi-Ped Tank Reinforcement, and
they are not happy to find out that their plans are ruined.
TARGET CONFIRMED: Spike Head Approaching, Watch out for their formations
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since their formations vary from corner to corner, it's important that
you know how to keep your Score Multiplier up if you want a higher score.
Try to slam them while they are moving. When they are ready to attack,
their weak point (the flashing Energy Rod) will be slammable. Slam at
their weak point for greater damage. However, if you destroy one tank,
then the tanks will attack with more ferocity, with one tank being the
worst since one tank can launch lots of kinks through the air, making
score maintenance difficult. It's best to weaken all the tanks and when
each tank has only 5% energy left, just keep on killing and killing
until Vegas is finally under control.

Yosemite=Underground Nuclear Plant (Expert)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: August 9, 2025
Time over Target: 10:30 Hours
Operation Time Limit: 400 Seconds
Mission: Destroy the Underground Stronghold
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recon Reports have stated that the enemies are thoughtful of running
their operations under this Nuclear Plant.
Their identity has not yet been revealed. Your mission is to infiltrate
their stronghold and destroy the master control that runs this Nuclear
Plant at all costs.
There are hostages that you need to avoid shooting while disposing the
terrorists. The androids seems to be heavily armed.
We expect your very best in this mission.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have confirmed that the transport belongs to the Enemies. However,
it seems that the enemies are heavily armed so we'd better hold our
ground.
As we enter the cave, it seems that the turrets and three Jasons have
tracted us down!!! Shoot the missiles and then the turrets, then the
Jasons.
Now we are going to fight three Shannons, followed by four Garies, then
followed by three Shannons. When fighting the three Shannons following
the four Garies, be careful as it becomes easy to hit an innocent by
accident. Now it's time to do battle at the reception port!
Before you dig deeper into their domain, you will fight a horde of
Johns, Garies, Roberts, and Jasons. Try to hit a drum barrel as that
can take care of some John and Robert Types. However, it becomes really
important that you avoid hitting an innocent by accident. Once you
destroy the wave of foes at the reception port, we are going to dig
deeper inside the base.
The majority of your enemies will be Jims, who will be appearing in very
large groups. You will be facing turrets, Craigs, Garies, Roberts, and
Johns for at least the next 200 seconds. On top of that, be very careful
when destroying the androids that you don't hit any innocents that get
into your way.
You will also be facing three Flying Gun Platforms piloted by two
Shannons each. Destroy the Shannon piloting the gun platform to destroy
it. Also, use the Barrels to your own advantage and definitely try to
keep your score multiplier up.
Once you destroyed all androids, you've finally found the source to all
of the mess you've encountered in the first three missions.
TARGET CONFIRMED: Control Source of this Nuclear Plant is located from
the bottom of the base
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This boss isn't too tough. This guy has three stages of attack. The
first stage involves a straight line of missiles that can be easily
destroyed. If you can destroy the hands, then you receive points. The
only time the hands comes out is when you destroy it or if it loses about
33% of its energy.
All you need to do in Stage 2 is to destroy the Black Logs before the
missiles come out. That is--everytime you see a red sighting, hit it
until you hear a BOOM-BOOM. When you destroy enough Black Logs, then
the Black Log Generator will blow up.
Once both Black Log Generators blow up, Stage 3 is a cinch. Shoot the
missiles coming at you and hit the chicken-hearted Robert in the head
to drain lots of energy away and for an easy completion of the Enemy
NP.

Death Valley=Altitude 6000 Feet (Insane)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: This mission will only activate if you SUCCESSFULLY complete the
first 4 missions.

Time over Target: 19:30 Hours
Operation Time Limit: 360 Seconds
Mission: Finish Rage of the Machines off!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have confirmed that the army responsible for the four previous
missions are called, "Rage of the Machines". The heart of the organization
are holed up in a very powerful aircraft with a brand new AA System.
The aircraft is heavily armed with severe-attack Turrets, elite enemy
troopers, and tough androids. Their aim is to attack Los Angeles for a
second time.
Launch immediately and finish Rage of the Machines once and for all by
destroying their aircraft at their own turf!!! God bless you all.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
It looks like the scientist is inside the aircraft. Time to down them
before they even reach Los Angeles!!!
You will face a horde of Jims and you will face an Enemy Tank alongside
four Garies. Now you will face several more Jims and you will contend
with five Johns and three Shannons at the left side of the Aircraft.
Now you will face lots of resistance from the Turrets who does nothing
but shoot Missiles. Try to destroy as many Turrets as you can to
lessen the resistance. Throughout the fight on the ground, you will
face nothing but Ryan-Types who will show up in a higher number than
at Las Vegas. Always shoot the missiles before doing anything else.
You will face a lot of Jims throughout this mission so keep that in
mind. Take one Jim at a time as it's easy for several Jims to launch
a tag attack against you. Once you reach the cockpit, shoot at the
bottom of the bullet-proof window to do damage.
If you are unable to destroy the aircraft, you will face resistance
by a group of Terrences. These guys are hard to kill, so try to get a
good shot at their heads. They attack heavily so be sure to think twice
before going ahead to destroy the Terrences. After you will destroy the
Terrences, you will repeat the cycle until either you or the aircraft
falls down (The only time you can fall down is when a Terrence lands
a few successful hits at you).

BEAR EX AND RAGE OF THE MACHINES COMPARISON
OK I know that talking about Gunblade NY is off-the-file but since
Gunblade NY and LA Machine Guns are similar as far as gameplay is
concerned, maybe I'd better do a comparison between the two Android
Terrorist Groups.
Bear EX (Gunblade NY)
---------------------
* Caused a panicking at Times Square in an attempt to take over the
United Nations Headquarters.
* Their AA Site isn't complete. They are trying to complete their
very own AA Site at Midtown Manhattan.
* After failing to take over the UN HQ, they tried to escape at
their Cargo Ship. However, SAAF finished them off at their own
turf.
* Again, they tried to take over the UN HQ by reinforcing at the
following areas: Brooklyn Bridge, Battery Park, and Grand Army
Plaza. We managed to finish off the terrorists at these areas
but the backup were holed up at Midtown Manhattan.
* The Midtown backups were tough and were no pushovers: Many of
these backups were Female Androids.
Rage of the Machines (LA Machine Guns)
--------------------------------------
* Bombed a future-looking building that isn't seen in Present-Day
Los Angeles just to scare off some poor citizens (Dumb showoff)
so that they can kidnap the President through a helicopter. =P
* Tried to assist a convict in his own prison-breaking effort. Rage
of the Machines makes me sick because of their plead to assist a
convict to escape.
* Robbing a Bank Armored Vehicle!!! Not only this scares the panicking
citizens, but reinforcing the robbery in order to retrieve all the
monies inside the vehicle makes me throw up!!! Why a reinforced
bank robbery? I would understand if it is inside a bank and human
terrorists robbed it (and eventually Anti-Terrorist Units came in
to save the day with the least possible danger) but a robbery
supported by Androids is DEFINITELY OUT OF THE QUESTION.
* Running their operations at two places: Inside Yosemite and while
they are flying an aircraft, especially 6000 Feet above Death
Valley.
As you can see, Rage of the Machines are a lot more disgusting than the
Bear EX Cargo Corporation.

SAAF AND SIFAT COMPARISON
As with the Android Terrorist Organizations, this is definitely off the
topic as stated in the file, but since we are fighting to destroy the
sicko androids, maybe I'd better talk on how the services we serve in
both Gunblade NY and LA Machine Guns operate.
SAAF (Special Air Assault Force), Gunblade NY
---------------------------------------------
The SAAF is a terrorist control force run under the authority of the
United States Air Force. The SAAF specializes in aerial attacks
throughout use of a helicopter and two 20-millimeter Machine Guns.
The dual-machine gun platform, Gunblade, is only summoned whenever all
innocent bystanders have evacuated the area and the field is wide open
for complete destruction of the terrorists.
Members of the SAAF are trained through simulated chase scenes while
riding around a helicopter through several terrains. Air Force
Enlistees must have a grade of E-5 or better to join the SAAF. Officers
must be AT LEAST First Lieutenant to join the SAAF.
There are several tests that hopefuls of the SAAF must pass before
being accepted in the team.
SIFAT (Special Independent Force Against Terrorism), LA Machine Guns
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The Special Independent Force Against Terrorism is operated under the
Department of Naval Operations, United States Marine Corps. The SIFAT
specializes in virtually the same operations SAAF would but the SIFAT
does not rely on a helicopter carrying two snipers. Each SIFAT member
rides an air and/or a water bike and assaults through use of a 22
millimeter Machine Gun designed to destroy Androids with ease. Unlike
the SAAF, the SIFAT is specially assigned to rid android terrorists
with the least possible danger.
In order to join the SIFAT, an enlisted member has to be a Sergeant
(E-5). Officers MUST be a Second Lieutenant (O-1), and Warrant
Officers must hold a rank of W-2 or higher. SIFAT members are trained
through simulated chase scenes while on either an Aerial or a Water
Speed Bike.
Like the SAAF, the SIFAT has several tests hopefuls must pass before
being accepted onto the team, although the SIFAT is a lot more strict
than the SAAF.
SAAF's aim is to only protect the government while SIFAT's aim is to
go all out against the Terrorists at anytime.

THE DO'S AND DONT'S
I just don't like it when people have the outdated versions of my FAQs.
In order to put an end to all of this, from now on (as of today and lasting
forever), this file can ONLY BE stocked on the following websites:
* Verasnaship Interactive,
http://www.verasnaship.net
* GameFAQs,
http://www.gamefaqs.com
* Secrets of the Game Sages,
http://www.gamesages.com
* Cheat Code Central,
http://www.cheatcc.com
* Game Shark Code Creators Club,
http://www.cmgsccc.com
* Seganet:
http://www.seganet.com
* Segaweb:
http://www.segaweb.com
You can always get the latest version at Verasnaship first since I run
the website for myself. GameFAQs does a good job keeping the files
up-to-date at all times and is the most visited site for FAQ-related
walkthroughs. Secrets of the Game Sages is a "Code-related" partner
to GameFAQs since both GameFAQs and Secrets of the Game Sages share the
same information. Cheat Code Central not only has codes, but up-to-date
FAQs and Text-based Walkthroughs based upon marshmallow's knowledge.
Finally, Game Shark Code Creators Club is a Game Shark site run under
the Code Master to provide up-to-date Game Shark Codes and is a highly
visited Game Shark Site.
Segaweb and Seganet does a good job explaining a lot of Sega-related
stuff such as the Dreamcast, and all the games coming out for the
most promising Sega Video Game System of all time.
DONT'S: Never, ever, ever place this file directly onto your Internet
Account as I'm now getting sick and tired of people trying to store the
outdated version of my files.
DO'S: You are permitted to create a link to any of these websites.
Linking to GameFAQs is goverened by the Legal Disclaimer as foretold
under the statement, "Linking Rights". I highly recommend that you make
a link to my website so that people will always have the latest version
of this work viewed right through their screen. The only permissible
link that you can use to link to this file is as outlined as in the
following:
*
http://www.verasnaship.net/text/arcade.html (The Arcade Stable)
Part of the reason why I'm doing this is because if you don't view an
HTML Site, then you may not be able to run the ads that appear on top
of the HTML Document, which IS NO FAIR TO THE WEBMASTER. For details
about linking rules, visit
http://www.templetons.com/brad/linkright.html
which is Brad Templeton's Linking Rights Essay.

RULES FOR GIVING SUGGESTIONS
One time when I was forced to update another FAQ for Super GT by Sega,
I was surprised to see that I was driving from Helen Keller. That is
why you MUST follow the protocol as described in the Newsflash section
of this document.
