1a. General information about this drivethrough
Ememrgency Call Ambulance is a racing game, which takes
place in Chicago. Your job is to bring patients from
various accidents to the hospital in time, before they
die. As any other racing game, there is a time limit, which
is the patient health. It is not only that you need to
hurry to the hospital, you also have to do it without
smashing into any trees, telephone-poles, cars and other
obstacles. The game is a rather hard one, fast reactions
are needed, and you have to take risks several times.
And a good potion of luck is also needed. Although "luck"
actually doesn´t exist in this game, because all cars
are moving EXACTLY THE SAME WAY EVERYTIME! This means
that there is a way to get through the stages by a
strategy, which guaranteed would work everytime. The
problem is only that it is difficult to complete every
step correctly. The game is, like I said, very hard,
and it is more or less impossible to complete the game,
if you drive with automatic transmission, because the
automatic transmission ambulance has lower top speed,
about 145 km/h, while the manual transmission can
reach about 165km/h. And these 20 extra kilometres
per hour will be needed, specially in last case.
Also a piece of advise: When you drive in the 90
degrees corners (read below), then always gear down
to level 3, and brake a bit, but do not turn the
wheel too hard! If you do so, you will oversteer,
and the risk is very high that you crash into an
obstacle. Because of that you need to drive with
manual transmission, I will write the drivethrough
with instructions about when to switch gear. If you
drive with automatic transmission, then simply ignore
that part in the drivethrough.
I (the author) live in Sweden, and over here, it is a law
that the traffic must get out of the way, when an ambulance
is on emergeny call, I don´t know how it is in the USA, but
I guess the law is the same over there. But, don´t expect
the traffic to move out of the way for you, they will block
your way whenever they can, which is quite frustrating (but
after all, it is a game). And a piece of advice before we
start: Try to drive through the corners in 45 degrees, if
possible. By doing so, you don´t have to slow down, then
make a 90 degrees turn, and then accelrate again. By
driving through at top speed, you will certainly gain 2-3
seconds per corner, and believe me, this time will be needed!
As you drive, you will see a distance counter in the down
corner, which displays how far you are away from the
hospital. But, the distance counter doesn´t go down at
the same speed all the time, because the game doesn´t
count how far you have reached, it only counts the
"bird-distance" (if you would make a straight line from
the location of the ambulance, to the hospital). So, even
if you are driving at more than 100 kilometres per hour,
it could happen that the distance is shrinking very slowly,
while it on the next street is shrinking very fast, even
though the speed of the ambulance is the same.
1b. Patient Damage caused by crashes
As I described above, you also have to race fast
without smashing into any trees, telephone-poles, cars
and other obstacles. If you crash, the patient will get
a damage, and you will lose time. The patient´s condition
is being displayed in the top-right corner, and a nurse is
taking care of the patient. If you crash into a small
obstacle, like a tree, or a telephone-pole, you will
lose about 2-3 seconds, but if you crash into a big
obstacle, like a car, or a wall, the loss of time is much
greater, 5-10 (possibly even more!). I´m not completely
sure about how it works, but I *think* that if the nurse
succeed in recovering the patient, then you will get
these "penalty" seconds back, but I´m not completely sure
about how it works. But it should be that way, since it
would make the game more realistic, and more fair. I have
seen these conditions so far:
1. Stable condition (the best)
2. Loss of blood pressure
3. Bleeding
4. Faint
5. Faint Pulse
6. Loss of consciousness
7. Shock
8. Massive bleeding (the worst)
There is also another one, but I don´t remember the name
of it. It started with "Ph" I think, but I can´t remember
what it was.

2. Stretcher Cheat and Special Bonus
There is a hidden cheat to play the game with a
stretcher! On the trnsmission select screen, highlight
the manual transmission (don´t press any pedal button!),
and with the gear, switch up, up, down, down, up. Now
the hospital will turn around, and you will see the
ambulance crew with a stretcher. You can race this
stretcher both with manual and automatic transmission.
As you play the game, you will see the crew running
with the stretcher, and it looks *very* funny, but
also very silly. More than one person has asked me
in the aracde game hall about how I did that trick,
and they think it looks rather funny to see two
persons running with a stretcher at 160 km/h. And I
can´t disagree about that... ;) I always play with
the stretcher because it is much funnier, but the
control and speed seems to be equal to the ambulance,
so the game does not get easier with this cheat, but
it is a funny feature. :)
There is also a special bonus available in every case.
If you succeed to do the special trick, which is required
to get the special bonus, you will hear a voice saying
"Good job!". If you don´t hear it, you have not performed
the trick correctly.
In the first case, when you are driving down the hill
against the lake (read below), pass through the first
crossing, and then brake, and drive into the park here.
Here is a blue billboard which is labelled "Emergency
Call Ambulance". If you drive through it (it is actually
enough that you hit it, then then you will get 1 or
2 penalty seconds) and complete the case, you will
get some sort of bonus.
I don´t know how to get the special bonus in the 2nd case.
In the third case, you have drive in a very narrow passage
at a tank station on the very right side, before you enter
the last major street where you can go either on the left
and right side (read below).
In the fourth case, the special bonus is located in the 45
degrees corner after jumping over the bridge. After that
you have jumped over the bridge, you must drive under the
house which is on fire (read below), and as you drive there,
a log will fall down. If you succeed to drive under the
log before that it falls down on you, then you will get the
special bonus. Well, actually you will get the bonus even
if you simply run into the log, but if you do so, then you
will lose a few seconds of time, and then it is very
doubtful that you will complete the game.
I have tried out these special bonuses myself, so I can
guarantee that they will work. Again, thank you Jud Guest
for your info. :)
You get the BRAVE bonus if you jump over an open bridge, or
over a hill, and you get the bonus STABLE if you keep
your ambulance stable. SPECIAL is the special bonus
described above. NO DAMAGE is a bonus you get if your
ambulance doesn´t get a single scratch. And SECRET is
just that. I don´t know what it is.

3. Drivethrough
1st Case - Traffic Accident
---------------------------
Name of victim: Jack
Age: 10
Distance: 2498 metres
In this case, you have to save a ten-year-old boy from a
car accident with a tank-truck. In 99 (Real-life) seconds,
you have to bring this poor child to the hospital.
First, simply drive on, keep full speed as you drive on the
highway, take the first corners (first right, then left)
at top speed (gear up to level 4). After this, the
highway will be united with another road from the right,
and now more traffic is coming up! Be careful here, and
drive to the left of the yellow car in fron of you here,
and right of the police car which is coming in the other
direction (you have to squeeze your way through here).
After this point, you will have a black car in front
of you. It is blocking your way, and here you can try
to overtake it on the outside, even though it is a bit
risky. Your speed has to be very high (over 160 km/h),
and you also have to be careful so that you don´t lose
control as you overtake (it is very easy to hit him).
Also if you try it, beware of the other ambulance
which comes from the other direction. If you want to
avoid this risk, the instead keep the speed down a
little bit, so that you don´t crash into him, and he
will move out of the way, when you have to turn next
left. Try to drive through this corner in 45 degrees,
over the grass, it is not too difficult to do so. Just
be careful, so that you don´t smash into a phone-pole,
or into any tree. Next, simply drive up the hill,
through the crossing, and in the next right-going
corner, try to drive through at top speed in 45
degrees again, between the building and the
telephone-pole. Don´t worry about the traffic, there
won´t be any traffic direct ahead of you around the
corner (at least not in the very moment as you do the turn).
Continue down this street, avoid the cars, and try to keep
a straight line to the right. Take the next right-corner in
45 degrees as well, but gear down to gear 3 and slow down a
bit here, if you have full speed, the risk is high that you
lose control and crash into the building on the other side.
Gear up to level 4, and drive down this way, through the
crossing (no cars will come in any direction, so simply
drive through). Here you will see another ambulance which
crashes into the water, but you don´t have to bother about
it, because it won´t crash into your ambulance. Here you
can either try to get the SPECIAL bonus (read above), or
continue straight down, if you don´t want to take the
risk. As you approach the sea, you will see that you must
turn left. Do NOT go through this corner in 45 degrees,
the risk is too high that you crash into a tree (and
that is not worth the risk, IMHO). Instead, gear down
to level 3 and slow down (use your brakes!), and take
the corner in 90 degrees. Immediately after this corner,
there is another one, going left. You can however take
this one in 45 degrees. Gear up to level 4, and keep
going up again at full speed, and take the next
right-corner in 45 degrees as well.
On this next street, simply keep on driving at full speed,
on the right side. You only have one more corner to go, and
this corner is the hardest part in the 1st case. It depends
a bit on how fast you have been. If you have been driving
very fast, then a small truck will turn into this corner,
blocking your way. If that happens, don´t try to take the
corner in 45 degrees, then you will smash into him.
Instead, gear down to level 3 and slow down, and take
the corner in 90 degrees. It is easy to oversteer so
that you lose control and smash into a wall, so use your
breaks here!
If you have been driving a bit slower before that you
reached this corner, then the way *should* be clear,
so that you can take a 45 degrees turn, but be careful
here, because there is also a yellow car (I think),
who is intending to drive this way, so the risk exists
that you will drive into him instead. Another red car
here is also blocking the way. But in any case: Take
it easy through this corner, if you have enough time
left (20-25 seconds), only take a wild risk if you
are short of time. On the final street, it is simply
to drive on, on the right side of the street, to the
hospital, on gear 4.
My record on this level was that I had about 22
seconds left when I arrived to the hospital.
2nd Case - Street Battle
------------------------
Name of victim: Edward
Age: 35
Distance: 1934 metres
In this case, a 35-year-old police officer has been damaged
by a crime gang, and the gang is still on the run! And a
nasty thing is that the seconds are ticking faster than
in reality during this case!
This level begins in a garage. The beginning is simple:
Gear up to level 2 almost immediately, then up to level
3 before that you enter the first corner. Then go through
the next corner, and after that, gear up to level 4 (and
also avoid hitting any cars in the garage). As you exit
the garage, you will come out on a big street. Don´t be
afraid of exiting the garage at top speed, no cars will
collide with you (you will only see the gang´s van with
a couple of police cars just before you exit, but you
will not collide). Out of the garage, turn left, up the
hill, but be careful here! Don´t keep too high speed!
Just as you reach the top of this small hill, gear down
to level 3, brake, and immediately turn right (it is
easy to lose control here)! You can´t see any arrows
yet (this is a bit nasty when you play it for the
first time), but turn right, and then straight on. Gear
up to level 4 again.
A bridge is coming up ahead. The bridge is open, but there
is no time to wait for the bridge to go down, you have to
jump over! Plenty of police cars are driving on the bridge
at the start, but just keep to the right, and you will not
collide. As soon as the last car is gone from the bridge,
head up the bridge, left of the queue, and when you drive
up, try to get back to the right side again, so that you
will land safely, and not collide with the bars on the
other side of the bridge. It is important that you make
the jump straight, so that you don´t collide with the
edge of the bridge as you jump over (when you do this,
you´ll see what I mean). When you make the jump, gear
down to level 3 and slow down a little bit (by using
the brakes) so that your landing won´t be a hard one
(if the landing is too hard, you will get a one-second
penalty, and you won´t get the NO DAMAGE bonus). When
you are over the bridge, gear up to level 4 and
accelrate and then are two quick corners to get
through, first left, then right. The best way to get
through these two corners is actually to try to drive
straight through the corners, and turn the wheel as
little as possible The second corner can be taken
in 45 degrees, so that you squeeze yourself between two
bridge-pillars. It is a bit dangerous, but you need to
save time! As you take this second corner, slow down a
bit, beacuse another car is ahead of you, and there is
a risk that you collide if you don´t slow down. Now you
will drive a short distance under the bridge. Drive
carefully (but FAST!) through the traffic, and be ready
to turn left again (you will see the gang´s van and the
police cars again). Do not attempt to drive this corner
in 45 degrees, it is not possible. Instead, gear down
to level 3, slow down (use the brakes) and take the
corner 90 degrees, and then gear up to level 4 and
accelrate. After this corner, stay in the middle to
avoid two police cars standing to the left and right.
After this, comes a tricky part. Here are several
corners in a row, first right, then left, then right,
then left and then right again. Drive 45 degrees
through the first two corners (this will more or less
be a straight line through the corners, since they
are so close to each other), between the
telephone-poles and the buildings. You gain plenty of
time by driving like that. But in the third corner,
you have to gear down to level 3 and slow down (using
the brakes), the corner is sharp, and you can´t go in
45 degrees through that corner. When you have gone
through that corner, then keep the gear at level 3 and
keep the speed down as you turn left. Then through
the last corner going right, drive between the
building and the building. Accelrate, and gear up to
level 4.
Now drive straight on this street. Next, two left-going
corners are coming up. Drive wide through these corners
(far away from the blue area), because the van and some
police cars will appear in other direction. When you
have gone through these corners (you have done a "U-turn"
now), then drive up on the blue area, because two police
cars will appear from the next right-going corner, and
they will take up the entire road, so the only way to
avoid a crash is to drive up on the blue area (this blue
area will not cause any damage for your patient). Gear
down to level 3 here, and brake, so that you can get
into the corner again, as soon as the police cars are gone.
When you are through this corner, the hospital is right
ahead, accelrate, and gear up to level 4. But be careful
here, the bad guys haven´t given up yet! Keep driving on
the right side, and the gang´s van will pass you. As
soon as it has passed you, drive in the middle of the
road, to avoid the two following police cars. As soon as
they have passed you, turn over the left part of the
street (there is no traffic going in other direction,
so don´t worry), because the van will turn around, and
will drive back on your side! When the van has passed you,
drive in the middle of the street, so that you don´t crash
into the two police cars standing to the left and right.
When you passed them, drive straight on to the hospital.
My record on this level was that I had about 10 seconds
left when I arrived to the hospital.
3rd Case - Fire
---------------
Name of victim: Kate
Age: 23
Distance: 2280 metres
The Flamingo Hotel is on fire, and the inferno takes place
during the night. You have to drive a 23-year-old pregnant
woman to the hospital.
Well, this is a dark stage. Not only that you are driving
during the night, and it is more difficult to see, but
also that the city is in a mess, and that you have all
odds against you! And the seconds are ticking faster than
in real life during this case as well! And the time limit
is cruel. You are allowed to make a minor mistake if you
drive with manual transmission (because of that your
ambulance is a bit faster than the ambulance with
manual transmission). But if you drive with the
automatic transmission, then you are not allowed to
crash a single time! If you do, you won´t make it!
The level begins just outside the hotel, and first of
all, drive straight on, and avoid the electric sign in
the beginning, which has fallen down on the street. When
you have passed it, you will drive on a pretty narrow road.
Drive on your right side, and gear up as you accelrate,
up to level 4. Drive through the first easy corners,
and then an ambulance will meet you from the other
direction, but he will not crash into you, just stay to
the right. You will drive out on a larger street,
and this is where the mayhem begins! I don´t understand
what´s wrong with the other ambulance drivers, but they
seem to be drunk! Keep driving to the *very* right, as
close to the edge as possible, without colliding to the
edge, and keep absolute *full speed*. But now, an
ambulance is driving against you, and it seems as he will
collide, but if you have enough speed, and if you drive
enough close to the edge, the ambulance will miss you by
just a few millimetres. There is a risk that the backside
of your ambulance get a scratch, so that you get a
one-second penalty, but it can´t be helped.
Keep driving over the bridge (I believe it is a bridge),
and take the next left-going corner at *top speed*, but
don´t enter the corner too soon! A police car comes
from the other direction, but as soon as you have
passed it, enter the curve and drive quickly over to
the right side, so that you don´t collide with the
traffic in the other direction. Now you will find
yourself in a tunnel. To cars to the right (one yellow
and one red I think) will almost be blocking your
way, but squeese your way through between them. You have
to to this twice in the tunnel, and during the second time,
you also have to do it in a right-going conrer, which makes
it more diificult (it is easy to scratch one of the
cars here). When you reach this place, but see that
there really is no space between the cars, then the reason
for that is, that you didn´t get enough speed down into
the tunnel (therefore the cars have gotten new positions).
If these cars are driving side by side, then there is no
possibility to drive through, then you must over take them
both to the left. That is a dangerous move, since cars are
coming in the other direction, but you have to do it. But
*top speed* as I wrote above, is important. When you drive
through the tunnel, keep the full speed, don´t ease down
the slighest bit on the speed here, you can´t afford that.
When you are out of the corner, you will reach a crossing,
and there is a queue in front of you as well. Here you
have to drive left, but don´t try to go through in 45
degrees here. Traffic will come from the other direction,
so that will be impossible. Instead, drive right of the
queue, gear down to level 3, and break pretty hard! As you
turn left, be careful so that you don´t run into the
yellow car which blocks the way more or less for a
second (if you drove a bit slower through the tunnel,
the car has already passed and will not block your way,
but brake pretty hard just in case. As you turn left,
also be careful here, because if you break *too* hard,
there is a risk that you lose control over your
ambulance for 2 seconds, and that causes you loss of
time, and the risk is high that you collide with
someone, so be careful. But you have to slow down a
little bit, before you turn, and then brake, because
there is an annoying telephone-pole on the left side
of the street that you will enter, and if your speed is
too high, you will run into it, and if you do...well..
then, it will extremely difficult to make it in time
to the hospital. (Gee... one paragraph to describe
a single corner...)
On the next street, keep on driving on the right side,
but don´t gear up yet! Be ready to break for the
very narrow croner to the right. Here, you need to have
*very low* speed as you enter this corner, because you
will make a jump down to a very narrow road. If your
speed is too high, you will lose control and ram into
a telephone-pole, or even worse, a building. So be very
careful when you turn here. You will find yourself on a
very narrow road, drive as fast as you can here, but be
also careful, so that you don´t collide with any obstacles.
When you are through this narrow road, you have to drive
right again. Don´t try to drive through in 45 degrees
between the blue pillar and the other pillar to the right,
that doesn´t work. Drive through that corner in 90 degrees
instead, but be sure to keep a low speed when you exit
this narrow road. If the speed is too high and you break
too hard as you enter the next corner, you will lose
control of your ambulance, and possibly crash into
another car. Keep your gear at level 3 in this area.
When you are through the corner, accelrate and gear up
to level 4. This is another bridge, and simply drive on
the right side here, and avoid the traffic. The next
corner is going left, take this corner in 45 degrees
at top speed, and then keep yourself to the right side
of the road, and simply drive on. From this point, there
are two ways to go. The game indicates that a small way
is coming up, which goes in 45 degrees to the right, while
the road at the same time also continues forward. The
easiest way to continue here is straight forward, but
if you go straight forward, then you will not reach the
tank station on the very right side where you can get
the special bonus for this case. If you decide to turn
in the direction of the tank station, then slow down a
little bit, so that you don´t ram into a building by
mistake. When you hopefully are through the tank
station, try to continue forward, and then turn right,
so that you end up on the left side of the road (this
might sound confusing, but read on a little bit further,
and you´ll see what I mean).
If you continued straight on insead, then after a few
seconds you will see two cars standing in the middle of
the road, so you have to drive between them to get through
(it could be a bit difficult the first time, but once
you know where the cars are, avoiding them shouldn´t
be any problem). After another few seconds, you have to
turn right. Slow down as you enter this curve (brake a
little bit, but you don´t need to gear down), because a
tank-car is coming from the other direction, and you will
collide if you don´t slow down. Now you will come out on
a major street, and in a split-second, you must decide if
you want to drive on the right or left part of the road,
beacuse the way in divided into two parts here. You will
most likely arrive on the left part of the street, and
that´s good because that way is easier. When you are up,
you first have to keep to the left, to avoid a bus which
drives in your direction. As soon as it has passed you,
get *quickly* to the right side of the street, then keep
as much as possible to the right, because the van
from the 2nd case will show up AGAIN and will RAM YOU
FROM BEHIND if you don´t stay out of the way! This
is a rather mean trick from Sega, because it is
impossible to know about this when you play for the
first time. But try to stay to the right, and the
van *should* miss you. When it has passed you, drive
in the middle of the street, because a police car
comes up from behind, and he does the same thing
(This is NOT "Chase HQ", stupid cop!!), and it is
more a matter of luck than skill if you succeed in
avoiding him as well (but if you drive in the middle,
you should be able to avoid him as well). If you do
collide with any of them, you won´t lose that much,
"only" 2-3 seconds, but that could be enough, so
that you fail this case. If you entered this street on
the right side of the street, the traffic is slightly
different, and the van and the police car will not appear,
but on the other hand, a police car will crash into you in
the front instead, and it is "impossible" to avoid that
collission, since other cars are blocking the way as well.
So therefore, the left part of the street is better to take,
there you have at least a chance you get through unharmed.
Then it is time for the final corner, and it goes left.
You can NOT drive 45 degrees through it. Instead, gear
down to level 3, slow down a bit, and drive 90 degrees
through.
When you are through this corner, accelrate and gear up
to level 4. Now the hospital is right ahead, but it
isn´t over yet! A tank-truck crashes in front of you!
Quickly, drive over to the left side. The ground is
burning here, but don´t worry about that, you can
drive through the flames without hurting your pateint.
Just don´t collide with the tank-car. If you do, then
it´s over. When you have passed this tank-car, then
*another* tank-car crashes just behind the first one,
but simply stay to the left, and you will make it
through, unhurt. It is easy to avoid this truck.
Then, the hospital is right ahead.
My record on this level was that I had about 7-8 seconds
left when I arrived to the hospital.

read the Ending spoilers (but don´t read it, if you
don´t want to know what the ending looks like!).
FINAL CASE - PLANE CRASH

Name of victim: Gregorio Tavaresky
Age: 48
Distance: 3358 metres
Disaster strikes again, or rather, lightning strikes
again! It has struck the airplane with a president of
a "certain country" as the game says, and the plane has
crashed into Lake Michigan!! It doesn´t say from which
country the president comes from, but he looks Japanese,
even though he has a russian name (on the other hand,
Japan doesn´t have a president, but he doesn´t look
like Vladmir Putin either). But in any case, it is NOT
Bill Clinton, if you thought so! I was dissapointed,
because I thought that the player would save dear ol´
Clinton. The man that the ambulance staff are taking
care of during the intro looks a bit like Clinton, but it
isn´t...it could possibly be a parody of Clinton, I don´t
know.
In this case, time goes normally, one second in the game
is one second in reality. And that´s needed, because it
is a loooong way to drive...And you are not allowed to
make a single mistake! Your goal is not the hospital in
this mission, instead, you must take the president to a
rendez-vous, where the military crew will take care
of the president.
So, this case is very special. And the flight crash
took place during the night, so it is dark again, and
the rain is *pelting* down, making the roads *very
slippery*. But, there is NO TRAFFIC!! Not a single car
is on the road!! The only cars you can see are some
motorcycle-polices that are escorting you to the
hospital, but they will not come in your way.
Accelrate in the beginning, and gear up to level 4.
Take the first corner at top speed. In the corner
after that, There is a U-turn to the right. Gear
down to level 3, and brake hard as you are through the
first part of this turn, or else you will slide off the
road and collide with a building. Try to not steer too
hard to the right, if you do, the risk is high that you
oversteer and collide with the building. When you are
through this U-turn, accelrate, and gear up to level 4.
Now there will be an explosion in front of you, and a
blue box falls down on the road to the right, but
avoiding it is easy. Continue straight on, and then
through the next right-going corner in 90 degrees.
You should be able to take this corner at top speed,
but there is a small risk that you slip out too much
to the left, so that you collide with a bridge pillar.
This is a dangerous place, but you have more or less
to take this risk, because you are very short of time!
Then continue straight on, and take the next left-going
corner in 90 degrees at top speed (these two 90
degrees-corners are a bit more wide that the usual
90 degrees corners). After this corner, keep your
full speed, and take the next corner, going right,
up the bridge. You will jump over a bridge, like you
did in the 2nd case, but make sure again to gear down
to level 3 and slow down a little bit, so that your
landing won´t become a hard one.
When you are over the bridge, accelrate and gear up
to level 4, and make sure to go in 45 degrees in the
left corner directly after the bridge, and take this
corner at top speed. Here you can collect the special
bonus for this case (read above). The house there is
on fire, but driving through the flames is of no
danger for your ambulance. This is the only place
where I have seen a possibility to go in 45 degrees
through a corner, I don´t think there is any
possibility to do it elsewhere. After this corner,
you will go up a small bridge (it does not contain
any jump though, so keep full speed). After that,
you have to drive up on a small narrow street, to a
bridge above. Keep full speed as you drive up here,
and keep up the speed til that it is time to drive
down from this bridge. When you are driving down
from the bridge, you have to turn right. The curve
is not very sharp, but on the other hand, the street
is very narrow, so it is easy to scratch your ambulance
and lose time even so. The best way go get through
this corner, in my opinion, is to keep level 4, but
slow down a little bit before that you enter the curve,
and then you turn in the curve, and accelrate a bit
when you are turning, but just enough so that you
don´t scratch the ambulance on the left side. It is a
sort of balance here to keep the proper stable speed
through this corner, but in any case, don´t use any
brakes (only use the brakes if you slowed down too
late before entering the curve). When you are through
this curve, there will be another explosion in front
of you. Missiles will be shot from behind (but they
will not hit you), clearing the way to enter the
tunnel (it is completely blocked by rocks) and heavey
stone-blocks fall down on the road, but they are easy
to avoid, simply keep yourself in the middle of the
street. And after that comes a tunnel, and from here
on, it is "only" to keep driving on to the rendez-vous.
You have make a lefting-going O-turn (in a circle), and
making this turn is a bit tricky, because of the slippy
road. This O-turn is more or less devided into two
curves. I suggest that you keep the gear level at 4,
and that you drive very close to the left, slow down
a little bit, and turn left not too hard (but if you are
about to hit the wall on the right side, then use your
brakes, and turn just a little bit harder). Then, there
is a straight road for about 100 metres or so, and then,
there is another curve, which is sharper. Before that
you enter the next curve, gear down to level 2, and
slow down a bit for this corner, to avoid oversteering.
As soon as you are throught this corner, accelrate as
hard as you can, and gear up to level 4, and then
drive straight on. Now it is a straight way to
the rendez-vous. Missiles will be shot from behind again
to clear the exit of the tunnel, and again, heavy
stone-blocks fall down on the road, but once again, they
are easy to avoid. Keep driving forward at top speed
through the rocks, and you will reach the rendez-vous.
If you find any other way which is easier for you
to use, to get through these last corners, then please
use that method instead. I´m not saying that this is the
best way to do it, but it is what I suggest. But I
could, of course, be wrong. But one thing is for sure:
Don´t get into the curves too fast, because if you do
so, you will most likely oversteer, lose control of the
ambulance, and possibly crash into a wall (even if you
don´t crash, you will lose some time in regaining the
control of the ambulance). When I drove in the tunnel
for the first time, I thought the track would be
normal again, since we road shouldn´t be wet inside the
tunnel, but wrong I was...this part is slippery as well,
so be careful here.
My record on this level was that I had 1 second left
when I arrived to the rendez-vous. It was very close...

4. Ending Spoliers
WARNING!! If you don´t want to know what the ending looks
like, don´t read any further!!
When you have reached the rendez-vous, the president will
be brought into a military helicopter, and he will be
weaving at you, the helicopter takes off and flies away
with the president. Then, three months later, there is
a cermony in a hall with a red carpet, people standing
to the left and right, and you and your female partner
walks up the red carpet up to the president, who thanks
you for saving his life. He gives you and your partner
a golden medal, and you will see the people you rescued
from the three previous cases as well. Jack says
something like "Thank you for saving my life. When I
grow up, I want to become just like you", and Edward
says "Thank you for saving my life. I can´t thank
you enough". As for Kate, she says "Thanks for saving
us". She and her husband/boyfriend are standing there,
with no less than THREE children!! Not bad to save four
lifes in one case! And then, a photo is taken of all
of you together, and you will see it lying in the ambulance,
and then the camera zooms out, showing the ambulance.
And that´s it. A very nice ending. :)
