Before we get readin' and learnin',
This FAQ is freeware but don't use this as your FAQ (as if you made this?). I'm
only giving this out because of all the western continents who don't have this
game in the arcades could be wondering, "What is the game, Dance ManiaX?".
Well, I'll tell you. Just read the FAQ then maybe you could do good when the
game's released in your area already.
This FAQ could be inaccurate and may cause you a minor confusion, so give me
any mistakes so I can modify the FAQ properly. So for newcomers, READ AT YOUR
OWN RISK!!!!

1.0 - Version History
0.6 - Fixed the FAQ for web-viewing.
0.5 - Small updates but it's going in the net.
0.4 - It's goin' good. Not yet posted in GameFAQs.com!
0.2 - Well, I just started this FAQ.
2.0 - DDR vs DMX
Before we get to the "core" of this game, let's compare Dance Dance Revolution
and Dance ManiaX.
2.1 - Dance Dance Revolution
It's probably the first dancing game ever to hit the arcades. It's pretty easy
to play but when you get tho the high tempos, you could get lost. Use just use
your feet on this game. It has lot of modes to keep the player challenged and
not bored. The player can even pick the diffuclty of the song.
2.2 - Dance ManiaX
It's the state-of-the-art game right now because they use "laser beams." You
get to use your arms and legs and even your whole body. The arms' purpose are
to block the beam's path underneath the sensors. The legs and body however, are
used when you want to dance with the rythm. The legs can to used to touch the
lower areas. They're only a few selections of songs only available but dancing
them are worthwhile.
3.0 - How to play the game
3.1 - Tutorial
You mainly have to use your arms to "catch" the beams of the Dance Sensors. By
putting your hand on the beam's path, you just made a "command" already. This
is the "note area" of the game.
|Blue|Pink|Pink|Blue| If the there's a note (it should look like a
|Area|Area|Area|Area| whole note) coming to the Pink Left Area, block | |

3.2 - Mode Selection
What's a game without a game mode? On the main menu, you'll be asked to select
a diffuculty mode.
They're three modes:
Mild - For beginners who dance casually.
Wild - For experts who dance to the eXtreme!
Trial - A must for dancing kings/queens. Beat the score to win.*
3.3 - Music Selection/More Info
Here's where you select your music to dance!
How to do:
Use the left and right selection buttons to select the song you'd like to
dance. Press the start button to begin the game.
Chip System:
Depending on the machine's settings, you'll notice a number of golden tokens
floating in the left side of the screen. This is becuase of the "Chip System."
When you play a single song, you use one chip up. When you fail the song, you
lose one chip. So, it's like this. When you picked a song and failed it, it's
considered you spent two chips. When you achieve the song, you used one chip.
If you're out of chips, the game is over!
Note: If you fail the song you can choose the song again for a "re-attempt."
Switch Mild to Wild or Wild to Mild:
If you accidentally picked the wrong diffuculty or if you want to change your
diffuculty between the song selection screen, swing your left arm to the left
sensors and your right arm to the right sensors rapidly. If you see that the
stars of the songs increase/decrease by their number and their colors change,
you just switched Mild to Wild or Wild to Mild.
Note: Maybe applicable to default Mild/Wild modes.

5.0 - Techniques
This section will help you train yourselves on these moves.
5.1 - Basics
Upper/Lower Right/Left - Obviously the easiest to master. Train yourselves on
this by blocking one note. Pratice this at different tempos.
Both Hands Up - Just put your hands in the pink areas.
Both Hands Down - Just put your hands in the blue areas.
5.2 - Advanced
Left/Right Kick - Just to a low kick underneath the blue areas. Do this only
once because rapid succession is impossible.
Both Hands Up & a Right/Left Kick- This is "almost" easy to accomplish. All you
have to do is to do the Both Hands Up and give either a left or right kick in a
blue area.
6.0 - Dynamite Dancer's Menu
This is a secret that people obviously don't know. They might be wondering "How
come they get to use the center area of the machine to dance and I can't?".
Becuase this is a secret menu used for the professionals for a
challenging/easier gameplay.
How to access:
Before you press start to start the game, hold down the left and right
selection buttons and press the start button.
Here, you'll see a menu detailing customized gameplay (well, not on music and
patterns!). You select to use the current side of the machine, play using ALL
of the sensors for 1 player or use the center area. They are more options in
this menu. If you understand it, give me details and I will post it.
