In 1984, Sega released the strangely named
"Appoooh" (translates to "Up") to Arcades
in Japan.
As the name suggests, Appoooh was one of the
very first Pro-Wrestling games ever created
featuring a roster comprised of the eight biggest
names in Japanese Pro-Wrestling of the early 1980's
such as Hulk Hogan, Antonio Inoki, Andre The Giant,
Abdullah The Butcher and the original Tiger Mask.
With cartoonish, super deformed graphics, finishing
moves for each Wrestler (a big thing at the time) and
even pixelated blood-enducing hardcore moves, Appoooh
paved the way for future Wrestling games to follow
such as Taito's Championship Wrestler and Technos'
Mat Mania to name a few.

HEALTH BAR:
===========
When either player takes enough damage or
is thrown to the ground, a colored icon will
appear around the character.
A white icon indicates decent health, a yellow
icon indicates 50% or less health and a Red
icon indicates very low health remaining.
As either player's changes color, they will
become more susceptible to an opponent's
stronger attacks and finishers.
When either player loses all of their health
and is laying on the ground, the opponent
will automatically pin the player when
standing in close range.

ROUNDS:
=======
Each match is split into three rounds. In
order for a player to win a match, the player
must win two out of three rounds by pinfall,
counting out the opponent or for the opponent
to become disqualified.
Computer opponents will continue to repeat
until the player receives a game over.

TIME LIMIT:
===========
The time limit for each round is exactly three
minutes. When a round is over, the time limit
continues over to the next round with 5 to
30 seconds added.
If the time limit reaches zero before either
player reaches two wins, is counted out or
disqualified, the match will automatically
end in a game over.
