( 2. About the game (--------------------------------------------------------
Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword is a swordfighting action game that is
simple to play. Just use the A Button to attack, and the B Button combined
with the Circle Pad to dodge. The secret of Iai is not reckless swinging,
but rather one well-timed, swift attack. Aim for openings in your enemy's
guard–in the instant after you've dodged an attack, or just before he
swings.

I have decided to create a walkthrough for this game, since there is
currenty none found on GameFAQs. I also decided to incorporate my Items
Guide, also created by me and found on GameFAQs, into this walkthrough
since the guide itself started turning into a walkthrough. So... Yeah! If
this walkthrough makes it to GameFAQs, then I'll be the first to have a
walkthrough for this game posted... Yahoo ! This is also the first
walkthrough I have created for any game.

Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword is an action game involving precision
swordplay. You control the main character, Sakura Samurai. Use the sword-
fighting techniques taught to you by the kappa, the master of a pond near
an ancient sakura tree, and set out on a journey to rescue the kidnapped
Princess Cherry Blossom.

Sakura Samurai
--------------
This boy has traveled a long distance from his small hometown in order to
master the way of the sword. During his journey, while on the banks of a
pond, he hears the voice of a Kappa who offers to train him. He is
supremely skilled at the art of sword drawing, drawing his blade in the
blink of an eye and using the momentum to strike at his target. He goes by
the name Sakura Samurai.
Master Melonbowl
----------------
Master Melonbowl is the master of the pond, and the guardian of the shrine
that honors the ancient sakura tree. He has been waiting for a young hero
to come and save Princess Cherry Blossom. He rarely appears to people in
his kappa form, instead opting for a human disguise. He is a
self-proclaimed master swordsman. People say that if you offer cucumbers at
the shrine, your skill with a sword will improve.
Princess Cherry Blossom
-----------------------
Residing in the Sakura tree, she is the only daughter of the god of the
earth, and acts as the country's guardian deity. One day, she was sucked
into a villain’s mysterious drinking gourd and carried off, and she hasn’t
been seen since. The ancient tree hasn’t bloomed since the day it lost its
guardian...
The Castle Lords
----------------
These fearsome, confident swordsmen block Sakura Samurai's path. They took
advantage of the chaos in the countryside to take control of the region.
There is a rumor that some of the castle lords possess rare treasures as
well.

( 7. Beating a Boss (--------------------------------------------------------
The trick to beating any boss, is to know his moves and his move patterns.
Once you reach the boss, pay close attention to his movements. When you see
his weapon starting to glow yellow or red, wait .354 seconds, then dodge it
by moving side-to-side or by backing up. Once he has made his move,
immediately spring forward to him, as close as possible, and stike him as
fast as possible before he can block your attack or pushes you back. Keep
doing this until he has been defeated. Be warned tho, the final boss is a
tough one to predict his moves, his moves are very random. There are a
total of three bosses to defeat. These bosses can be found at Castle of
Long Rains, Wayward Monk's Castle, and Dark Moon Castle.

( 9. Precision Points (------------------------------------------------------
Precision points are points you earn for every dodge you make perfectly
when battling an enemy. You can not earn Precision Points when beating a
Boss. Precision Points can be traded in for gold over at Frogs Plus. Here
are the Points you need and how much Gold they are worth. Each time you
perform a precision evasion, you get one precision point. Try to earn as
many precision points as possible by performing an uninterupted streak of
precision evasions. You can sell the record of your precision points to the
shop owner at Frogs Plus shops in any of the villages. In certain cases,
your precision points will be reset to zero during battle. Try to avoid
this. Note: You cannot gain or lose precision points during boss battles.
You will lose your precision points during battle if:
1. Any enemy blocks your attack.
2. You are hit by an enemy's attack.
3. You block an enemy's attack.
Precision Points for Gold:
1-4 PP = 3 Gold
5-9 PP = 10 Gold

( 12. Stamp Rewards Program (------------------------------------------------
In this game there are two streetmen in every town. Each one has a different
challenge for you. You can choose to play for Gold or you can choose to play
for stamps. If you choose to play for stamps, then the following is a list
of items that can be won in exhange for certain numbers of stamps. The
number of stamps you earn for completing a challenge will vary from challenge
to challenge and by difficulty of the challenge. I won't be focussing on the
challenge or the difficulties but rather the rewards themselves. In version
1.01, and later, of this guide, I will add the look of each set of Stamp
Sheets. There are three difficulties to every challenge, they are Plum,
Bamboo, and Pine with each one tougher than the last. The cost for 1 game is
5 Gold.
Stamp Collection #1:
In this collection you can only be rewarded twice.
For 10 stamps: You will be rewarded with 3 or 5 Sakura rice cakes.
For 20 Stamps: You will be rewarded with a special-attack gem. This gem
contains the special attack known as Sakura Confuion. The
Gem color is blue.

( 13. Special-attack gems (--------------------------------------------------
In this game, you will find yourself always using a sword. To master the
Art of the Sword, you will need to know how to obtain and use its Special-
attack features. First off, you're sword will grow more powerful with every
attack that is made perfectly. When your sword gauge is full, press the Y
Button to unleash the sword's special-attack. You will start off with the
default special-attack known as "Sakura Wind". There are a total of four
special-attack techniques to master. In order to unlock these techniques,
you will need to obtain their special-attack gems. Each Gem can only be
obtained by filling up a number of stamps per stamp sheet. To unlock the
first special-attack gem, you will need to obtain a total of 20 stamps.
After you have collected 20 stamps, you will be rewarded with the second
gem technique known as "Sakura Confusion." Next you will need to obtain
another 30 stamps to unlock Gem number 3. Collect the 30 additional stamps
and you will be rewarded with the speacial-attack gem technique known as
"Sakura Blizzard." After ytou have masterewd the technique "Sakura
Blizzard", Collect an additional 40 stamps to obtain the final technique.
The fourth and final technique is "Blossom Storm." Blossom Storm is the
most powerful of all Sword Techniques.

( 14. Rock Garden (-----------------------------------------------------
By dedicating the step count that you build up by walking around with your
Nintendo 3DS system, you can make the sakura trees bloom and bring beauty
to the rock garden. You can only dedicate steps once per day. When the
sakura blossoms bloom, people will come to visit the rock garden. When the
trees are in full bloom, you will see an increase in the number of items
that are placed in the rock garden. Use the Circle Pad to look around.
Note: The step count will be recorded from the time the rock garden is
first vivited.
Note: Sakura trees that have bloomed will lose their petals after five
days.
Note: You can only bloom 1 sakura tree per day, per dedication. Please
refer to chart below to know what the sakura tree blooming percentage will
be for your current step count dedication.
To get the Sakura trees in full bloom, please refer to the following step
count chart.

( 15. Thug Challenges (------------------------------------------------------
After defeating a boss, you will unlock one of the three side challenges.
These challenges are known as Thug Challenges. There are a total of three
TCs to unlock. They are "The 30 Thug Challenge", "The 50 Thug Challenge"
and the "100 Thug Challenge". A Thug Challenge is like a Survival. Defeat
each set of thugs with only one life, without dying. You have 3 hearts to
one life. Lose them, and you lose the match. These challenges will appear
on the main menu screen. Since they are not part of the main game itself,
you don't have to participate in them. Like I already said, these are only
a side quest. I should probably mention that if you participate in these
challenges, you will be timed. Try and get the best record as possible.

Press A at the title screen to display the main menu. Select New Game to
start a game from the beginning. Select Rock Garden to go to the rock
garden.
Note: As you progress through the game, more menu options will become
