1. Introduction

This isn't the first walkthrough I've ever written, but it's the first one I've
ever posted. (In case you were wondering, the first was a walkthrough for
MegaMan Battle Network 3, but I never got around to posting it, and now it's
long been deleted.) I've done my best to keep this as spoiler-free as possible,
but if you feel there is anything too spoiler-ish, only e-mail me if you can
explain it in a less spoiler-ish way.

This is also a bare-bones walkthrough; everything you need to make it through
the game as quickly as possible. Feel free, however, to examine every scene
you come across. Most of the dialogue you get won't be pertinent to the case,
but some of it can be funny and/or interesting.

2. Gameplay Basics

Justice For All is pretty much the same, control-wise, as it's predecessor. You
can play the entire game using only the stylus and touch screen, But since the
original Japanese release of the game was for the GBA, you can also play the
entire game without using the stylus at all.

D-Pad - Move cursor, Advance/Back through cross-examination
A - Select, Check evidence, Advance dialogue
B - Back, Speed through dialogue you've heard before
X - Present evidence/profiles
Y - Activate microphone (trial only)
L - Press a statement (trial only), Pan between two-frame scenes
R - Check Court Record (except during cross-examination)
START - Pause, Save & Quit

It's a simple game to play, and if you use the stylus, everything is point and
tap. Your basic goal is to prove your client "Not Guilty" by finding the real
culprit. (Unlike real court, where you only have to prove reasonable doubt.)
You do this by examining scenes and questioning witnesses to figure out what
actually happened. Then, during trial, you either press a witness' statement
for further information, or present evidence that contradicts a witness'
statement.

There are 3 main differences between Justice For All and Ace Attorney. The
first is that, instead of the 5 Strike rule, you have a health bar, which will
decrease at different ammounts depending on how crucial a point is. The second
is the fact that you can now present profiles, as well as evidence, during
witness interviews and cross-examination.

The final, and probably most crucial, difference between the two games is the
new "Psyche-Lock" system. When a witness is trying to hide something from you,
the background will fade away and chains will appear around the witness, with a
certain number of padlocks that you must unlock before the witness becomes
forthcoming. To unlock a Psyche-Lock, present the Magatama (a green stone that
you get from Maya shortly into the second turnabout) to the witness, then
present evidence or profiles to prove/contradict something to the witness.
(It's explained in-game better than I could ever do it here, so I'm not going
to go on.)

3. Walkthrough

Some key things:
-If the choices to a question are spoiler-ish, I will number the choices
from top to bottom (top being 1), and tell you which option to choose.
-When talking to people, talk about everything. If something gets Psyche-
Locked, ask about everything else, and I'll tell you to ask about something
specific after the Psyche-Locks are broken.
-In my T&T walkthrough, I created ASCII maps for each of the levels, whereas in
a previous version of this walkthrough I told you how to move step-by-step.
After creating the maps for T&T, I decided that I would create maps for these
levels, as well, though it took me a year to get around to it. Since you can
only get to certain places from somewhere else, instead of the step-by-step
instructions, just use the map to see how to get to the next area.
