---------------------------------------------------
This is my first time writing a guide for any game, so endure with me if there
are some errors and misleading information. If you find any mistakes or have
something to correct/assist me in, contact me by email at
[email protected].
Hopefully this guide would be of good use to you as I put the finishing touch.
Have fun playing Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and enjoy raising your Hunter Rank!
---------------------------------------------------
3. HUNTER RANK NOTES
---------------------------------------------------
* You can only raise your first "8" Hunter Rank through Port Tanzia.
* Port Tanzai’s quest are more challenging than Moga Village. Monsters there
are stronger, harder, and more difficult.
* It is best to raise your Hunter Rank through multiplayer such as connecting
with other local 3DS players or online through the Wii U.
* Some "Key Quest" requires “Pre-Requisites” which you must complete before it
shows up.
* Completing all available “Key Quest” will unlock the “Urgent Quest”.
* Upon completing the “Urgent Quest” your Hunter Rank will raise.
* Once you get to Hunter Rank 8, talk to the the Guildmaster at Port
Tanzia and your Hunter Rank might raise above HR 8 depending on the amount
time you've been grinding for both Moga Village and Port Tanzai.
---------------------------------------------------
4. CHECKING YOUR HUNTER RANK
---------------------------------------------------
1) Press start.
2) Move to Info.
3) Click on Status.
4) You should see your HR highlighted in blue and Next [HR points] in green.
You can only see "Next" after reaching Hunter Rank 8.
5) HR points can be gained from both Moga Village and Port Tanzai. The
harder the quest, the more HR points you'll gained.

It is best to do "[Advanced] Pack Mentality" in G-Rank Quest LV ******

7. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
---------------------------------------------------
Q: What is a Hunter Rank?
A: Rank/Grade that display your current hunter status. The higher your HR,
the more likely someone is going to think of you as an experience
hunter.
Q: How many Hunter Rank are there?
A: There are a total of “8” Hunter Rank. After slaying Dire Miralis, you can
raise your Hunter Rank BEYOND that to 125+ by completing more quest.
Q: What’s the point of ranking up?
A: To achieve higher rank, unlock new quest, meet new subspecies, create
stronger armors, and showoff your HR ???.
Q: What’s the difference between Moga Village and Port Tanzia guild quest?
A: Village quest only goes up to “High Rank” while Tanzia goes all the way to
“G Rank”. Monsters at Tanzia are stronger than the Village and only some
subspecies can be found there. Moga Village is considered the main storyline
for this game (solo) while Port Tanzia is for you to do afterwards and
experience a more challenging game play (solo/multiplayer).
Q: Can you solo Port Tanzia quest?
A: It can be done, but very difficult.
