day.

(INTRODUCTION)
============
Welcome to the Technos Samurai Boss FAQ.  This is just a separate FAQ if you
want strategies on the bosses and not the rest of the main FAQ/WALKTHROUGH.
Because I looked at the Codes and Secret Section, I now know the monetary
unit is Ryo.  Thanks.

It's just not complete without knowing how much money you get when you K.O.

(2.THE BOSS' STYLE)
=================
Each boss will fight you differently than the next, but they all use the same
strategy every once in a while.

BRAWLING
A boss will always try to get into a fist fight with Kunio, hands down.
Blocking and sliding, which is holding a direction while you block, can get
you out of tough situations.  It works even better when Kunio has learned the
Tech, H. GUARD.

JUMPING
I've seen more bosses do this than use their own Techs.  Even when a boss
chases you, once they either catch up or if you turn around to attack, they
always seem to jump and attack, most likely anticipating your jumping attack.

CHASING
When you run, they follow.  That's simple enough, except there are bosses
like Kinsu who are so fast that once they catch up to you they just keep
going and punch you, no jump.  Sometimes, they run around Kunio, not
attacking and after a while, they hit you, so the only way to defeat a boss
that likes to chase is throw something.

TECH HAPPY
The exact opposite of Brawlers, Tech happy bosses use their Tech when you get
close to them.  Prime examples are Jinro, Heisi if you're a button masher,
and Tora once he gets in the air.  Oddly enough, the Tech happy bosses all
have Techs that involve spinning (DRILL, H. GUARD, E. TORP, S. TORP).  You
always have to keep your distance unless you know your most damaging move
will knock them down.  Jinro is an exception to that because he can use DRILL
while he's stun, either a glitch or some God-like ability.

(3. BOSS STRATEGIES)
==================
This sections shows the best ways I have found so far to defeating these
bosses.  Since I defeated Ginpa, them gambled until I had 3000 Ryo to buy the
Master Belt, these strategies are written as if you have the Master Belt, but
just if you don't have it, there will be non-Master Belt strategy.
The Master Belt ensures you learn a boss' Tech, if they had one.
Be sure you read both strategies just in-case you have a Tech listed under
the Master Belt strategy that you could use to help you.
Disclaimer: These types that I'm classifying these bosses is not the only
thing that boss is capable of.  This is just the type of offense I've noticed
that boss use the most.

GINPA- Moron
TYPE: BRAWLING
WITH MASTER BELT: Since he appears so many times, it's easy to defeat him,
especially towards the end when you have gained all those Techs from previous
bosses.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Since Kunio has the M. KICK Tech, dealing multiple hits
on Ginpa and keeping him stun shouldn't be a problem.  Kick him while he's
down and you will succeed.

GONSA- Vengeful ally
TYPE: CHASING/JUMPING
WITH MASTER BELT: If it's the first fight, you will still have M. KICK,
unless you gambled to get enough money for a better Tech.  Otherwise, don't
run because at this point in the game, Kunio is a wimp, much like his
brother.  Instead, charge Gonsa with the M. KICK. Until he falls.  If you let
him attack, he will be all over you until he uses the SLAP SP, which will
probably knock you pretty far, allowing you to charge him.  The Stamina and
Vitality loss isn't worth it.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: I consider this the second fight strategy.  Kunio's
stats should be at least over 25 and he should have a good amount of Stamina
and Vitality.  I you don't have a decent Tech, refer to the strategy above.

ICHI AND ROKU- Two goons
TYPE: Ichi-BRAWLING Roku-JUMPING
WITH MASTER BELT: You must have the SLAP SP Tech since you defeated Gonsa
with the Master Belt equipped.  Using the SLAP SP in the beginning of the
fight will give you a major advantage.  Once they are close to you, use your
M. KICK to defend you front.  If one of them gets on the opposite side,
you're screwed.  Let them knock you down and try to hit both of them at the
same time.  When they are at a good distance away from you, use your SLAP SP
and you will win in no time.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Use M. KICK to defend your front and when they are
vulnerable to an attack, use your most damaging move.  Otherwise, read the
strategy above.

HEIRU- Jinro's lackey
TYPE: BRAWLING/TECH HAPPY
WITH MASTER BELT: Assuming you have SCREW from Yono, use it or the SLAP SP
to prevent heiru from picking up a weapon to throw at you, considerinig it
will always hit with his WARPSHOT Tech.  If your two Techs just aren't
producing the desired effects, fight fire with fire and throw stuff at him to
stun him and then use your most damaging move.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Throw stuff at him to stun him and use your most
damaging move.  Connecting with multiple hits with the M. KICK is actually
helpful, if there is nothing to throw.

YONO- Healer
TYPE: BRAWLING/JUMPING
WITH MASTER BELT: Use the SLAP SP to run all over Yono.  He rarely uses the
Tech he has, so this fight will be very much like a fight with Ginpa.  Just
pound away until he is defeated.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Read strategy above and take out the sentence about the
SLAP SP

TAME- Jinro's lackey
TYPE: BRAWLING
WITH MASTER BELT: Use any of the Techs you have acumulated so far, but
beware, this is the point in the game where bosses start to get stronger so
one hit can set you up for destruction.  If you throw something at him, use
your most damaging move.  Yet another fight like Ginpa except for his M. FUMI
Tech.  If he manages to get you on the ground, he will M. FUMI you into
submission so if you feel that you don't get up fast enough after you're
knocked down, start to increase your WILL before this fight.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Use any Tech you may have brought from a Tech shop and
beat him into submission.  Don't let him knock you down because you will be
M. FUMIed until Kunio can get up.

HEISI- Jinro's lackey
TYPE: TECH HAPPY/JUMPING
WITH MASTER BELT: Use your quicker attacks to keep you distance from Heisi.
The WARPSHOT Tech is especially helpful, even more if you have boosted your
THROW stat.  Use Warpshot to stun and damage Heisi then move in with the SLAP
SP or your highest damaging move.  Repeat and victory will be yours.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: This can be a little difficult if you have been button-
mashing the whole time.  Use any dashing attack to surprise Heisi.  Since
enemies in this game don't have God-like reflexes to block your every move,
Heisi is most likely to get hit if you charge him.  When he's on the ground,
sit on him and strike or just stomp.

KINSU- Jinro's lackey
TYPE: CHASING
WITH MASTER BELT: This is the first speedy boss you're going to fight so make
sure you use the Warpshot to slow him down of stop him to get some hits in.
If he's runnig your way, use the SLAP SP to "run" by him and keep going until
he falls down.  You shouldn't run away from Kinsu, not only because if his
speed, because he is likely to N. ATTACK you and then you're on the ground, a
bad place to be in a fight like this.  Luckily, Kinsu likes to charge you a
lot so make use of that H. GUARD to get Kinsu on the ground.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: This can be pretty difficult, especially if you didn't
build up your AGILITY.  Your best bet is to let him come to you and retaliate
with your M. KICK or other strong move you might have been using.  You can
also throw things at him if he's running right at you.

JINRO- Beeg Boss to Kinsu, Heisi, and Heiru
TYPE: TECH HAPPY/CHASING
WITH MASTER BELT: This is like a more powerful version of Heisi, because you
don't have to attack Jinro to make him use his DRILL Tech.  This also becomes
a problem if you aren't using the WARPSHOT to stun him and then attack him.
Fist fighting is a bad idea because he always retaliates with DRILL, doing
major damage consecutively.  Charging him with N. ATTACK won't ensure that
you won't take damage because sometimes, Jinro likes to Drill in mid-air
AFTER you knocked him away.  The same goes for SLAP SP.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: This is a difficult fight.  You need to throw things and
use your strongest move.  Charging him with M. KICK or any other Tech you
have will work.  For the best results, charge him, to deal damage and then
constantly attack him while he is on the ground.  Attacking while waiting for
him to get up ensures that he won't use DRILL to knock you away.

HAN- Tora's holy guard
TYPE: JUMPING
WITH MASTER BELT: Knock Han on the ground with your strongest move, use DRILL
on top of Han to deal substantial damage.  Han's pretty much a wimp, except
for his high WEAPON stat.  If he picks up a weapon, make sure he doesn't hit
you with it and knock it out of his hand.  He can't really block anythin due
to his low STRENGTH stat so hitting through his block is no problem.  Always
use N. ATTACK if he decides to go fetch a weapon.  If Han manages to run
circles around you, use the WARPSHOT to slow him down.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Han is still a wimp even if you don't have a crapload of
Techs to use.  Just pound away at him and don't let him use or pick up a
weapon.  If Han manages to run circles around you, throw something or charge
him in the opposite direction.

YAGO- Thief/Pimp? (The 2nd time you see him, he gives you a lot of money...)
TYPE: TECH HAPPY/CHASING
WITH MASTER BELT: Either SLAP SP or N. ATTACK a weapon dagger out of his hand
if he starts with one or he picks one up.  Use your most powerful move and he
will eventually be defeated.  Letting him use his DAGGER SP Tech will make
this another Jinro type battle, but if he is using his Tech a lot, refer to
the Jinro strategy.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Just knock the dagger out of his hand somehow, then
don't let him pick up anther dagger.  If he runs off to pick up another
weapon, chase him down.

NIZAE- Tora's lackey, very ugly
TYPE: TECH HAPPY
WITH MASTER BELT: Because you have gained all those Techs, this battle could
be difficult.  For starters, don't let him transform into Kunio, by knocking
him out the air using N. ATTACK.  If he manages to DEFLECT into Kunio, use
your distance attacks, like WARPSHOT and N. ATTACK, otherwise I could be
another Jinro-type battle, because of your DRILL and H. GUARD techs.  If you
have trouble with Nizae because he transformed into you, refer to the Jinro
strategy.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: For once, not having the Master Belt makes a fight
easier.  Since you probably don't have all the boss' Techs, when Nizae
DEFLEECTs into Kunio, he won't gain the advantage, but the disadvantage.
You'll have so much experience fighting tougher bosses that fighting yourself
will be a breeze.  Just pound away and if he transforms into you, just keep
pounding.

TSUI AND TATSU- The kidnappers
TYPE: ALL OF THE ABOVE
WITH MASTER BELT: With the H. GUARD, you could possibly stop their deadly
TORNADO Tech, but don't think about going defensive.  This fight is
completely offensive.  You have to be attacking at least one of them at all
times until one is K.O.ed, then let the other get away and don't finish off
the wounded one because after this point, once your ally gets K.O.ed, the one
you beat up will become an ally.  But anyway, use distance attacks like
WARPSHOT and N. ATTACK.  If you want to use their own TORNADO against them,
DEFLECT into one of them and kick away.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: This can be dfficult, especially if you try to fight
both of them at once.  Use any Tech that keeps distance between both you and
the twins, try to stun them, and then use your most powerful attack.  The
good thing is that once one of them is K.O.ed, the other one retreats to
fight another time.  Fighting one is easier than fighting both, so you
shouldn't have a problem with one by himself.

THE BEEG BOSS, TSUU- Kunio's brother, wimp, and traitor
TYPE: BRAWLING
WITH MASTER BELT: Since Tsuu is so much of a wimp, just use anything you
want, there is no real strategy.  Just don't let him use the BIGBANG.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Read strategy above.

TORA- Enemy to Bunzo's
TYPE: TECH HAPPY/JUMPING
WITH MASTER BELT: Avoid being knocked down at all cost, because if you get E.
TORPed off the screen, you have to fight his gang over again.  His S. TORP
can wipe out your STAMINA if he connects mulltiple times.  The good thing is
that he has very little STAMINA and VITALITY, so using distance Techs can
seriously put the hurt on Tora.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Hopefully you have enough money by now to buy some
decent Techs, use them.  It doesn't matter, Tora will hardly last long enough
to use anything but the S. TORP or E. TORP, ifhe manages to knock you down.
Keep pounding away and if you don't let him jump, he can't use the S. TORP.
If you constantly attack, Tora probably won't be able to retaliate.  Even if
Tora uses S. TORP, you can still hit through it.

ASAJI- Rival to Kunio, fiance to Okoto
TYPE: BRAWLING, CHASING
WITH MASTER BELT: It doesn't matter what Techs you use, Asaji is so weak, he
had to hang around stronger guys and run the first time you get ready to
fight him.  Do what you want, you're probably so strong now that it doesn't
matter.  But the odds get worse for you if Juuki is with Asaji.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Read strategy above.

JUUKI- Traitor, Asaji's accomplice
TYPE: TECH HAPPY, CHASING
WITH MASTER BELT: Maybe it's time to use the S.TORP when Juuki charges you.
Sure, the only time you can fight Juuki is with Asaji, but Asaji will be
K.O.ed before you know it.  Juuki is vulnerable when he uses BMPKNART, and he
hesitates to throw the weapons for a while, so that's the perfect time to use
your strongest move on him to wear down his STAMINA.  What makes this fight
easier is that contrary to his ally "form" he has no VITALITY so 255 points
of damage will finish him off.
WITHOUT MASTER BELT: Pretty much the same strategy above except take out the
part about Techs that you don't have.

(4. TIPS WHILE FIGHTING BOSSES)
=============================
These tips will help you when you fight a boss that you're losing to.
-If there is an INN in the town you're fighting in, go ahead and rest when
you're low on STAMINA and VITALITY.
-If the gang preceding a boss is in an area with holes, knock or throw the
enemies down that hole and make sure you don't knock/throw the boss down the
hole.
-Against one boss, your ally could lend a hand.
-If you notice a boss is beating you with the same strategy, use their
strategy.
-Attack the boss while their talking.
