-Majin Buu: Pure can be found in Floor 5 G Rank Rifts
-Started noting which characters appear with other recruitable canon

characters will be grouped together after the last team
-Started a process of testing out rift encounters
-If an encounter has been comfirmed by this, the entry on the list
will have a note saying it's confirmed
-Unconfirmed Rifts will be noted too, these may or may not work, if
there's a confirmed Rift location, use that instead
-So far nothing is marked as unconfirmed yet

characters don't show up until the post game (Like Frieza and SSJ
Kid Gohan)
-If there's no note I've not tested that enough yet

This is a method which can give you any character, for it to work for
canon characters, try to find a star symbol floating around. Find
and open the star rift and 5 unrecruited characters will appear. For
characters that need a Sub Event completed before recruiting them, you
still need to do the Sub Event before you can get the character.
If you fail to get a Star Rift after you see one, reset the game without
fighting whatever you got instead and try again, this won't waste any of
your 3 uses. If after many uses you don't find a Star Rift, it might be
your area, what rifts show up is based on router settings, I for example
never get any Saiyan Rifts at home.
Tips and Tricks [T1PS]
1. Rift Save Scum Method
There is a way to save scum rifts, the process for this is as follows.
1. Fight your enemies and open the rifts with X.
2. Stop, instead of going to the rift to open it with A, go to a map
location and save. You must get to the location before the rift
closes on its own. If you want to warp, you can, just don't warp to
another floor.
3. Save the game.
4. Check out the rift, if it's what you want, congrats, if not, see 5.
5. Reset the game without saving and retry the rift, you might get
something different.
6. If you feel like you're just getting the same set of teams, beat
the next team and restart from 1.
It's usually recommended you restart the attempt after about 3-5
restarts, but if you want to push things, go ahead, it can pay off.
2. Pre-Patch Rift Exploit
Before the patch, it was easier to do rifts, mainly due to how higher
ranked rifts worked. Before the rifts, if you opened a G Rank Rift and
fought or escaped from the enemy, you'd only use up 1 of the 3 rifts
used in the G Rank Rift, enabling you to open up a S Rank Rift
afterwards, and an A Rank after the S Rank. After the patch, a G Rank
Rift got rid of all 3 rifts used, along with S Rank Rifts getting rid
of both used rifts.
3. Health Tip
Most of the times, Crown Groups will have more health than Rift Groups,
most Rift Groups (and Generic Groups) have their total health divided
by 4, other stats are normal. A few rifts don't have the divided
health, for example, SSJ3 Future Trunks' rift on Floor 3 does not have
divided health, that combined with SSJ3 Trunks' Skills and his having
a very damaging attack can make this SSJ3 Trunks a potential threat to
a careless player. I was careless on my first attempt to recruit him
and he nearly KO'd one of my characters with a single attack.
4. Try to Avoid Focusing Too Much
If you're failing to get a specific character, move onto another, you
might have better luck later. This goes double if frustration is
getting you angry or stressed.
5. Recruit Attempts can Fail
When facing a S or G Rank character, there's a sizable chance your
recruit attempt can fail. If you fail on every recruit attempt battle
and you're using the Save Scumming method, reset and hope the team pops
back up. A and B Rank characters can also fail to be recruited, but
this chance is lower than that of the S and G Ranks. It is even
possible for an attempt on a C Rank to fail, but this is a very low
chance, I've only had it happen to me once and I've not heard about
anyone else having it happen.
6. Recruitment Tips
1. More damage done can influence the chances of a recruitment
succeeding, but this has its limits, it will only help so far.
2. Enemy blocking is very bad, it will drastically reduce your damage
output, use Knockback to avoid an accidental KO.
3. Each Zenkai Attack can only recruit one character, KOing multiple
characters will not get multiple recruits, you will only recruit
the character you targeted when you chose the Zenkai Attack option.
4. Think about what moves you use if you're trying to recruit a whole
team of 5 characters in a single battle. Using a Galick Gun or
Kamehameha like move could accidentally lead to accidental KOs.
5. Buff yourself up with positive Status Effects to do more damage
7. Ultra Gauge Building Tips
1. Speed Boost, Power Boost, and Guard Boost are good gauge building
moves; You can use them every turn with their low Ki Orb cost.
2. Shout moves and the upgraded versions of the three Boost moves
mentioned in 1 are also good, they will give you more gauge if they
affect more characters.
3. Targeting multiple enemies with a Special Move helps to build the
Ultra Gauge.
4. If you are going after Rift Characters, make sure you max out the
Ultra Gauge before opening rifts. If you are using the save scum
method, avoid Capsule Corp on Floor 1, King Kai's Planet on Floor 2,
and the Spaceship on all Floors. Entering any of these will heal
you, which also resets your Ultra Gauge back to 0.
5. If one of your characters can't use a support move to build the
Gauge up and you don't want to attack, use the charge energy option
to waste their turn.
8. Notes on Costumes
If you're trying to collect every costume, most transformations of
characters won't give you anything. For example, recruiting SSJ Vegeta
won't unlock Vegeta (Super)'s outfit, you need Vegeta (Super) for that.
The exceptions to this rule are: SSG Goku and Golden Frieza.
Meta-Cooler, Vegito, Kibito Kai, and Super 17 are also exceptions if you
want to consider them as being transformations of other characters.
SSJ4 Goku and Vegeta don't unlock outfits despite them having unique
clothes. Same for the outfit Fusion Dance characters wear, you can't
get that either.
9. Crown Group Spawning
Crown Groups vary in their spawn conditions, some require you to beat
specific Generic Groups, like all three Crown Groups on Floor 1 (Note:
The Cooler group is post game only, I've never seen the needed groups
all being present before the levels increased), these groups will block
their needed Generic Groups from respawning until you beat them. This
type of crown group stick around until you beat them. Other Crown
Groups will randomly spawn after a battle. The despawn after the next
fight whether you fight them or not, so watch out for generic groups if
you're hunting for a specific group. An example of this is the Dodoria
and Zarbon group on Floor 2. And finally, rarely, a Crown Group will
spawn after you beat another crown group. I've only seen this happen
on Floor 3, with the 17 and 18 group spawning after you beat the 20 and
19 group.
10. Why you Should Lock-on with Y
After the rift spawns, the camera will be pointed at it. Try locking
onto the rift with Y before dashing over to it, while locked on you
can't pass through it and have to turn around to open it. This is
especially helpful if you have someone chasing you.
11. Rifts on the First Three Floors
When you arrive on Floors 4-7 you'll be able to start opening rifts
right away. But, for Floors 1-3, you need to wait until you've talked
to King Yemma on Floor 6, this triggers something that causes rifts to
start spawning after battles on the first three floors.
12. Future Goshanks
You can encounter him in Floor 3 S Rank rifts and in the 100 Man Fight.
But he cannot be gotten outside of Japanese only QR codes. But I have
a theory that he was intended to be playable regularly, they might have
been planning to put Future Gohan in the game or have Future Trunks
fuse with Buu Saga Gohan. Buu Saga Gohan has been used in place of
Future Gohan before, like in Budokai Tenkaichi 2. The main reasons I
suspect Future Goshanks was planned to be a regular character lies in a
handful of facts. They are...
1. He appears in battles in-game, no other QR character does this.
2. He has a big moveset, the other QR characters only have 4 or 3 moves
in their movesets.
3. He has Body Change Block, a skill all Fusion Dance characters get
prevent Body Change from making the game glitch out when the fused
character defuses, this makes me believe he had this skill not to
match other Fusion Dance characters but to prevent a Body Change
glitch from happening if he had became playable. As for the QR
version of him not defusing, he likely has whatever the devs used
for enemy Fusion Dance characters allowing his fusion to last
forever.
4. He also has his own Sub Event, no other QR character has this.
5. A minor fact, but unlike the other three QR characters, he is a
Fusion Dance character, not a EX Fusion character. The others
being EX Fusions and having so few Special Moves and Skills is also
strange, usually EX Fusions have their skillset and moveset made by
combining those of the two fusees, this isn't done for the EX
Fusion QR characters.
