1. Introduction

Welcome to the Animal Crossing: New Leaf Working at the Café FAQ! This
short FAQ will give a list of all the characters who can visit the Roost
and their favourite coffee blends so you don't have to guess or worry about
it ;) There's also information on how to get the Roost and all the rewards
you may receive on completing your shift. On with the guide!

2. The Roost

The Roost is a public works project that the Mayor character may put in
their town after certain criteria have been met. The second floor of the
Museum must have been open for one week, and 50 or more items must have
been donated to the Museum in total. When both of these criteria are met,
the Mayor character must speak to Blathers while he is doing the
'pondering' animation and ask him what's wrong. It is then that the Roost
will become available as a public works project costing 298 000 Bells. You
can place the Roost anywhere in your town, but bear in mind it cannot be
deleted once it has been constructed.

Once you have bought 7 coffees from Brewster (whether at the chair or take-
out coffee at the counter), speak to him twice at the counter between the
hours of 11 AM and 11 PM and he will allow you to work at the Roost. Your
goal is to serve three villagers and one special character. At first, only
your villagers will come to get coffee, but over time other villagers will
appear too. The characters will also give you clues as to how they like
their coffee, but since you’re reading this guide, you probably don’t care
about that! ;)

If you have successfully completed an order, your character will show the
‘bashful’ reaction face, and the animal you’ve helped will compliment you.

5. Rewards

If you do well enough serving the animals at the Roost, Brewster will
reward you for your efforts. These rewards are based off of how many of the
orders you get right. Orders are split into 3, so a fully correct order
will count as 3 points towards getting a reward. All of these items are
only available by working at the Roost.
