Fender Flares

Working on painting some Flares for my truck. I ordered the
Stampeed brand on Ebay. They were around $300 shipped. Here is
a pic of them sanded and primed. The hardest thing is keeping
the room clean and dust free. Even after hanging plastic,
vacuuming everything, and wetting down the floor I still get
little pieces of stuff landing on them while I'm trying to clean
them. Lent free wipes and a tack cloth are your best friend
when doing this.

These are a few after the first coat of color. I bought the
cheep Dupont Nason paint from Oriley's. They can mix it there
if you have a paint code. For the paint, primer, clear,
cleaner, reducer, activator it was around $140. So far I've
only got one run, and one spot that swung into another flare
that will need touching up. I had a fan blowing out the door to
ventilate the room, but everything is now red. I'm glad I
covered the walls.

They are coming out nice. Should give your truck a mean
aggressive look. Looks like a lot of work though.
