I have one on the way right now. After messing with it in the
store I fell in love with one of the smoothest feeling reels I
have ever put my hands on. I intend to put it through the test
soon since we all know that I am a man that is hard on some
equipment.

I personally like Abu Garcia reels. They are not the smoothest
reels on the market, nor the least expensive, but you definitely
get what you pay for with them! I have used their baitcast
reels for close to 10 years ranging from C3, C4, Torro, Orra SX,
and Revo S. Right now I use 4 Revo S reels on 4 Abu Garcia
Veritas rods with micro guides. The reels are all 6:4:1 which I
believe is the best all around ratio out there. All my rods are
different from length to action. I'm sure the other Revo models
are better than the S, I just don't enjoy spending more that
$100-$120 on a reel and $100 is my limit on rods. I just don't
buy into G-Loomis, Falcon, Carrot Sticks and all their
marketing. I wouldn't trade my rigs for anything else! The
only thing I may do, is as my reels go out, I might think about
going up to SX or STX, but then again, I don't like the price
tags and Abu reels last a LONG TIME!

I personally am a Shimano man. I will be fishing with big J next
weekend and will compare that new Komodo to the new Curado G7.

This should be a interesting comparison
between two top notch reels. Can't wait to see how it turns
out.
