Anglers Found!!!!

Louisiana search and rescue authorities have found two missing
anglers on Grand Lake, Louisiana. Both men are alive and well.
Tyler Smith, age 24, and Gus Atkinson, age 28, launched their
14-foot aluminum flat bottom to chase after catfish, but weather
conditions quickly deteriorated and turned a relaxing afternoon
into a terrifying adventure. In the late afternoon, family
members called the men to alert them of an approaching storm.
Heeding the advice, the anglers headed for the boat ramp but
were unable to outrun the heavy winds and large waves.
The vessel was swamped by the perilous weather but the men were
able to drag their boat to shore, empty the water and resume
their trek. As if things couldnt get any worse, the boats
25-horsepower outboard seized up, rendering it absolutely
useless. With no other options and no communication link to
family or friends, the two anglers were able to walk their boat
to nearby Cypress Island to wait 12-hours for rescue.
Take note from these anglersthey let their families know where
they were going to be and when they were supposed to be back.
This information ultimately led to their quick rescue.
Whenever you hit the water, no matter what type of boat youre
in, make sure someone knows your whereaboutsit could save your
life.
