Ballistic Effects

Got emailed this fairly interesting video a while back which
goes through the process of demonstrating the effects of common
rounds from 9mm to 50 cal on targets using a 15 gallon water
drum as the end target. Found it to be rather interesting,
especially when comparing the smaller end of the spectrum to
some of the medium and high caliber weapons and the shear
devastation that they can cause. Remember, the target weight is
approximately 125 pounds plus the weight of the drum.

Thanks. I agree, I'm all for staying on the grip end of any
weapon and out of the sight picture. As my CCW instructor put
it, "If you want to carry a .22 as your concealed carry weapon,
I'm perfectly fine with that. Is it the most powerful weapon on
the market or the ideal self-defense caliber? No. But I promise
you, you get hit with 3 or 4 of them bad boys and it's bound to
mess up your day!"
