Passport fees increased |
|
The Federal Government of Nigeria increased the price of |
|
passports effective September 1, 2024. The 64-page passport, |
|
which previously cost 70,000 naira, now costs 100,000 naira. |
|
This increase only applies to Nigerians living in Nigeria. |
|
Technical issues with online passport service |
|
The NIS confirmed technical issues with its online payment |
|
platform for passport applications in August 2024. The agency |
|
apologized for the downtime. |

NIS deports Zimbabwean bishop |

The NIS deported Zimbabwean Bishop Eben K. Nhiwatawi for |
