| A debate can end so that one party gives up on his opinion and | |
| agrees with the opponents opinion. | |
| For example a debate can end on the topic "Stats matter" if at | |
| the end you see a phrase "i agree that Stats are jsut irrelevant | |
| averages that don't tell who is going to win next battle". Such | |
| realization at the end debunks the opinion that "stats matter" | |
| and there is no way to defend anymore the claim "stats do | |
| matter" because both parties agreed on the same statement "stats | |
| don't matter". | |
| Sometimes it is difficult to see clearly that an opponent | |
| changed it's mind. For example they may tell that stats are just | |
| averages but then after a moment they provide still arguments | |
| that stats matter which creates conflicting arguments. And | |
| sometimes an opponents doesn't change it's mind totally but | |
| partially. For example, they may say that stats matter is | |
| specific situations. Both changing the mind totally or partially | |
| means that the debate is over and if both sides wish then they | |
| can start a new debate to see if the slighlty shifter statement | |
| would win. | |
