1 v 1 Tournament
By: Duckman31998 Date: March 7, 2019, 4:51 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
It is time for another OFF Clan tournament. If interested
please let me know. Rules (subject to change) are as follows:
Old Farts and Fogies
1 v 1
Format: This is a 1 v 1, round robin tournament. Everybody
plays everybody at some point during the tournament. At the end
of that the player with the best winning percentage is crowned,
1 v 1 Champion! In the case that multiple players have equal
winning percentages those players well face off in a single
elimination playoff.
A call out period well take place so participants can
challenge one another. If both agree to the call out they would
be matched. Call outs are limited to player and tank class,
i.e. light, medium, heavy, etc., and for tier V-X maps if both
players agree. Tank tier is assigned by random draw. Players
with no call outs would be matched by random draw.
Maps well be assigned to tiers, in other words if you draw tier
2 youd play Providence, if you draw tier 3 you play maps
assigned to that tier. The tier/map assignments would not
change during the tournament unless an update takes a map out.
Tiers V X players can choose their own map if they so desire.
All games are Encounter mode, 7 minute time limit.
Each match is best of three games which should allow for quicker
matches and be less expensive on everyone. Each match one
player is assigned as Home, the other as Visitor. Room setup is
to be done by a moderator, moderators are: III Duckman III,
oxidative stress, DaGeneralissimo, DaBadDad181, Corbantis, and
Camdaddy222. Any other participant in the tournament can be
used as a moderator if none of the listed players are available.
The Home player gets spawn choice in the first game, the
visiting player gets spawn choice in the remaining game(s). It
is at the discretion of the Home player if he wishes to defer
his choice in the first game so that he can have his choice in
the remaining game(s).
In the event that neither tank is destroyed nor the flag is
captured the winner is the one who did the most damage to his
opponent. If there was no damage done or an equal amount, the
game is a draw and gets replayed.
Fog Of War is required. (That should allow for some really
weird matchups.)
Tanks: Players must agree to a class of tank, i.e. TD, Light,
Arty etc. Once that is agreed upon any tank at that tier in
that class can be used.
Tank Tiers: 2-10, to be decided by a random draw prior to each
match. In the event a player does not have any tanks at the
tier drawn we would redraw until a tier they do have is picked.
Home/Visitor: Decided by random draw prior to the first match.
Thereafter well try to ensure nobody continues to get either
side continuously.
These rule are subject to change.
