Today I got on the wrong bus at the transit center because I
read the numbers wrong. I was looking for #25, which takes me
to my college, and got on #78 by mistake. I rode the entire
route and ended up back to the transit center, eventually I got
to my intended destination but I had missed my first class.

Welcome to the board, Cass!! Yay.
I am always afraid of getting on the wrong bus--and it has
happened before. It doesn't help that the buses go by fast, the
words on the side or back are small, and you feel hurried to
make a choice!
Today...during a lecture, I could not read the board. Sometimes
it's fine because the person verbalizes the words first. But
today I kept staring and staring. She pointed to the words and
asked us "What is this?" and I desperately wanted to raise my
hand and answer, so in my head I was like "I. Don't. Know. Tell
me and I can answer you."

Today... I could not find my glasses in the morning. I
couldn't do anything, which was a catch 22 because I needed them
to see and I needed to see to find them. I think it took me
about 10 minutes full of panicking and pillow flipping.

Today, I wanted some large print books because reading with my
magnifier gets annoying and I miss the feeling of a book in my
hands when I use my nook. So I went to three different book
store including Barns&Noble and the selections were so small and
had nothing interesting! I was looking for some classic books
which you'd think would have large print copies, but no...

Today (well yesterday) I was exiting a restaurant that I had
never been to. When I'm not familiar with a place, it brings up
anxiety because it's hard for me to figure out the layout of
places and many times I've gone down weird dead ends bc I can't
take it all in (sort of a trial and error thing I do).
Sometimes it's easier when it's lighter inside or when there's
just a single path. But yesterday it was dark, with many tables
and very crowded. Small, dark interiors are the worst. I was
on a date so I was extra self conscious. I walked slowly with
my hands in front of me & paused for a while trying to figure
out if the really dark area was something I could walk through.
Turned out to be a curtain, which I forgot we had went through
to enter. D'oh. Don't think my date noticed.

Welcome to the board, FFLP :-)
I totally understand not wanting to wear your glasses in public.
Honestly, after all these years, I still feel like that
sometimes with my thick glasses. But if you need to talk about
it, I'm here to listen!

Today... someone asked me what I wanted, and I had to take a
menu because it was hard for me to read the menu up high. I'm
always really happy when food places have their menus readily
available so I can just read them while waiting in line instead
of taking forever to read the menu on the board. If I do that,
my choice is always dependent on which words I can make out.
Although, at Jamba Juice a week or so ago, there's a drink
called "Razzamatazz" and when it was my turn to order, I know I
wanted the "Razz-something" drink in my head and i couldn't read
the menu nor did I take a menu to read because I already knew
what I wanted. So I said "Um, I'll have the... Razz...[mumble
mumble] drink." HAHA. She knew what I wanted, so I guess it
turned out fine, but it was actually more funny to me. :-)
