She's a keeper! |

Last weekend my wife found a yard sale listed in the paper with |
|
a bunch of quilting stuff and thought she'd like to check it |
|
out. She wasn't sure where it was so I jumped on the PC and |
|
found it. I wasn't doing anything fun so I offered to take her. |
|
By the time we got there most of the quilting stuff was gone but |
|
I noticed a bunch of reloading goodies and while I was checking |
|
them out the lady asked if I was interested in guns. She said |
|
her husband had a pistol for sale and would have him bring it |
|
out if I wanted to see it. He came out with a Springfield 1911 |
|
A1 Loaded model, stainless steel. It was a very nice piece with |
|
a few small beauty marks but all in all in good shape. My son |
|
has been looking for a 1911 so we dickered on the price a bit |
|
and he came down to what I felt was a good price. I told him I'd |
|
check with my son to see if he would be interested. We were |
|
walking back to the car when the wife asked me about the pistol, |
|
wanted to know if it was something I'd like to have. That |
|
stopped me dead in my tracks and she said " Well, Christmas is |
|
coming so if you'd like to have it you better act now ". |
|
Needless to say that 1911 came home with me. Think I'll keep her |
|
around for a while ;D . |
