3" marlin 12 bolt action

:) They were only $99 bucks 40 years ago and there still worth
around $99 if you still have the clip. I do. This monster has a
36" barrel and a tremendous full choke and only weighs about 5.5
pounds. It was made to shoot geese WAY OUT, but came out just as
the switch to steel shot. The extra length does no good for
steel and the light weight made it kick like a mule. I've put it
in the safe for years but before that I used it as my only
shotgun. It actually makes for a GREAT slug gun and will swat a
turkey at 80 yards with the right load. It has sights on it so
you can AIM it. I'm thinking about having a rifled barrel made
for it and using it again for deer.
Any one have a Marlin rifled barrel on hand?

I remember these old bad boys! You are right...they will sling
a load down range. Great guns...then and now.

The Good Old Marlin Goose Gun!! I never owned one, but always
wanted one as a kid. They did sky bust geese with those long
barrelled bolt guns. Very cool to hear they are still out there.
