| I personally use an e--caller. I tried the hand calls with | |
| little success. The ecaller IMO are more realistic with a wide | |
| variety of sounds to choose. Most important is you can separate | |
| yourself from the sound. Big plus for song dogs. | |

| The E-caller is easier and gives the advantage that you can | |
| place it a ways away. The number of sounds available in an | |
| E-caller is improving and so they are getting better. On the | |
| other hand the traditional mouth call allows you to change your | |
| tone and speak the language more. The traditional call takes | |
| a skill level to be useful, but a skilled caller has a lot more | |
| flexibility than an E-caller ever will. The skilled caller can | |
| produce an innumerable number of sounds in any combination, the | |
| E-caller only replays sounds recorded. I personally use both, | |
| when Im asked I personal tell people they should own and use | |
| both because one should take advantage of everything available | |
| to them. To use one but not the other is almost like getting in | |
| a fist fight and only using one fist. | |

| As I heard once from a reputable hunter: "The ultimate predator | |
| hunter should use both and know the situations or the right time | |
| to use each." I personally think it is one's preference. | |
| Incorporate the use of both in each hunt. It will definitely add | |
| more variety to the vocal arsenal. | |

| I have used mouth calls with great success, but I use an | |
| E-caller now and will never look back! As others have said, | |
| getting the sound away from you is a huge plus! | |
| E-callers have gotten so small and light now that you hardly | |
| notice the difference taking them on long walks. | |
