"Well if we all didn't have it, there's no reason to be paranoid
about any of this. I think we all had too many tests" She
chuckled before looking at Fluttershy talk to a bird. "It's so
nice to see us all embrace the magic we all have. I still have
not been able to find out exactly where exactly these gems came
from and how they made it to a random cave in the Everfree... I
vaguely remember the Everfree forrest from the pony world...."

"Oh uh, that's good. I feel so tired, I don't know if I'll even
make the trip to camp without falling asleep." he says. Soon he
feels a vibrating in his pocket. Pulling it out, its not his
phone, but it is a small cylindrical object, two small LED's on
one end, along with as set of LED's running down the length of
the object, and a small pair of antennae on the other. To anyone
else, it looked something like a fancy pen, but it was really
something used to simply detect any magical energy or presence.
Looking at the object discreetly to not attract attention from
Octavia, he sees that the green LED on the end is lit, along
with one yellow LED on the length of the object. 'Hmm. There's
something here. It could be the portal, it could be something
else...' That was when he noticed that Octavia was looking at
him weird. "Oh, uh, am I doing something weird?" he asks.

"Yeah, it happens to everyone. I wouldn't be surprised if
everyone slept in the bus. At least we don't need to sing..."
she says, muttering the last part to herself. She turns to
continue talking to Broad before noticing that Broad looks deep
in thought. 'I wonder what he's thinking about...' she thinks to
herself before realizing that he noticed that she was staring at
him. "Oh, uh, you had a weird look on your face, like you were
deep in thought. Is something wrong?" she asks, curious and
slightly worried that something may be wrong.

"Too many tests. And I'm probably going to fail all of them..."
she says, before finishing off her food. "The magic that we got
from Camp is totally awesome! At least now I can control myself
when I run, and I don't end up crashing into something." she
says before looking around the crowd. "Huh, where are Twilight
and Pinkie? I don't see them anywhere. They should be coming to
camp right?" she asks, curious as to where their two friends
were.

By: Sona Nocturne Date: October 11, 2016, 10:09 am

Sona stared at Fluttershy, breakfast forgotten. The quiet,
golden-haired girl talked to animals all the time, though she
would never admit it. She often saved scraps of her dinner for
the stray cats that lived behind her apartment building, and
told them about her day as she fed them. She sometimes even
tried to mimic their mews, straining to pick up meaning in their
responses. She had never had any success, though. But here was a
girl that seemed to be carrying a conversation with a bird...
Sona wasnt sure whether to think she was crazy or to be
intensely jealous. She suddenly realized she was still staring,
and quickly ducked her head.
She was about to take another bite of her crescent roll when she
heard Sunset mention magic. Sona promptly fumbled with her roll,
before she dropped in the grass. Ignoring it, she suddenly burst
out right after the rainbow-haired girl had spoken. Did you say
magic? She questioned excitedly. You guys have magic?! Do
you- She suddenly seemed to process her own outburst and went
silent, casting her eyes down and busying herself with picking
up her dropped crescent. She brushed some dirt off of it, not
meeting anyones eyes.

With nothing to do nor anyone to converse with, Foxtrot falls
back on a tried and true method to kill time. He repositions his
duffle bag, lays back on it, and pulls his cap over his eyes.
Focusing less on what he sees and more on what he hears, the
student is able to listen in on the conversations around him.
The ones named Broadshield and Octavia are just small talking
it; and one's already spacing out. The girls next to him:
Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and a few others he hasn't
heard the names of, also engage in small talk. The food, camp,
tests and... magic? He thinks he hears them wrong until the
newest arrival to that group exclaims it out loud. They are
talking about it! Maybe they're talking about magic in a Vegas
show kind of way. Or perhaps something metaphorical, like the
magic of friendship or something stupid like that. It can't be
magic like a fantasy movie or some kids show, that's not real.
Foxtrot's eyes do open at a sudden realization, he forgot his
guitar. The one thing he wanted to practice it in the wilderness
and he forgot it. Well it's too late now, the student merely
sighing under his breath as he just waits for the bus to show.

"Oh, come now... Tests aren't terrible... That is, unless you
count the ones that have you draw the lines between matching
questions and answers. Quite the horrible design, really, just
having all those lines flailing about all over the page. And
then you wind up with some sort of... thing... that looks like a
kindergartner trying to tie their shoes. And Celestia help you
if you make a mistake and have to erase one, no, multiple lines,
and now it looks like a muddled, smeared disaster! It's quite a
dilemma, honestly, being forced to choose between nice, neat,
symmetrical shapes, and... passing..."
Rarity blinks, looking up after her rather random tangent and
attempts to pass off a smile as if her concerns were completely
normal. "Oh, but I'm sure they'll be here, Dash!" she raises her
voice a bit, switching and covering up the subject as she
watches a rather shy girl move up closer to the group. Finishing
her first croissant, she takes her brush to her hair once more,
working out those lovely curls. "They could have gotten... hung
up somewhere, darling. You know how Twilight and Pinkie are."
Her smile turns genuine as she listens in on Fluttershy... She
couldn't help but admit that the magic they all had received, in
Dash's words, were... totally awesome. Rarity could put on quite
a show herself with her unique ability. Aaaaaaand it may or may
not be used to keep herself from getting muddy while out hiking.
Now that, would be... totally awesome.
The newcomer's sudden exclamation about magic almost makes
Rarity jump. As Rarity looks over, however, the girl casts her
gaze down, seemingly want to dissolve back into the background.
She didn't blame the girl, really, but picking up a croissant
that had been dropped on the ground? "Oh my heavens! Here,
darling, have my second one. There is simply no need for you to
be eating off the ground, dear." Rarity reaches out for an
offering, sorely hoping the girl would take her up on it, lest
she would be eating food... off the ground... "You must be new
around here... You see, dear, we have a... unique set of
talents. Like Dash here has speed, Applejack, strength, and
Fluttershy can... communicate with animals." She smiles, almost
forcefully, unaware how the girl would take the news. While most
of the school had knowledge of their capabilities, they had been
using it sparingly... At least to her knowledge. And new
students were apt to take it one of two ways- in utter
excitement, followed by cries of "let me see, let me see!"... Or
utter disbelief.

"Oh, pish-posh, Rarity. Just call it what it is." She puts her
arms around Rainbow Dash's and Rarity's, shoulders, lightly
leaning on the two as she gets a better look at the blond-haired
girl. "It's pretty much magic... In every sense of the word. And
I ain't like to scare ya, sugarcube, but magic likes to go both
ways 'round here. But... that's why we're here." Applejack grins
at the girl, still hanging onto her two friends. "Is this your
first time going to Camp Everfree? What's your name, sugarcube?"

"Oh uh, sorry about that." he says, rubbing the back of his head
in slight embarrassment. "Wait, you guys had to sing?" he asks,
trying not to laugh, imagining a bunch of teenagers singing
songs on a bus like some high school musical.
While this is going on, he keeps a close eye on the detector,
ocassionally moving it around to see where the magic is coming
from. It seems that the magic is coming from somewhere within
the growing group. It would take forever to find out the magic
in a group like that. He'd have to wait.

"Yes, last time on the way there, we all just started to sing.
Can't really remember what song it was, or why, but we sung."
she says simply in response to Broadshield's question. "It was
so weird, but it was kind of cool. Our school has been really
connected since the Fall Formal, but it was like that was on a
completely different level." she says.
