RP Continuation: "The Angel Killer"
By: Zorbak the Ebil Moglin Date: June 27, 2019, 6:40 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
(Closed RP for the police force which for now is just
[member=4]Kierran Black[/member] as Nightwing and L,
[member=10]Caterina Sforza[/member] as Ziva, and
[member=2]Coolcat207[/member] as Mason and Jane. I'll be honest,
I don't remember who all was going to the battle at this point,
so add anyone I missed.)
After the revelation that the Joker was behind the angel
killings, and after revealing that he had captured two angels,
Clair De Luna and Kristiel, the group was ready to go after the
Joker. It had been a stressful moment, but the group had managed
to locate where the Joker had filmed the second video, in which
the Joker had stated he would be at the location waiting for
them to arrive. With the help of Amenadiel, Acillia, Jason Todd,
Castiel, Constantine, and Nightwing, the group seemed ready to
take on the Joker, and hoped to save those that had been
captured by the Joker.
Once they arrived, the place they arrived at seemed like a
standard abandoned factory with no activity, but as the group
tried to get close, Amenadiel and Acillia, who were walking in
front of the group were pushed back by a barrier, which which
was warded. Amenadiel: I shouldn't be surprised... But why ward
the place against us if he expected us?
Jason: It's probably just to test us. I think we'll have to go
in and find a way to bring down the barrier.
Amenadiel: Cracks knuckles Not necessary. I got this. He punches
the barrier, causing it to crackle and pop. He punches it again,
and it almost seems like the spot he's punching is destabilizing
the barrier as Amenadiel concentrates heavy celestial force into
his blows. After a third hit, the barrier goes down.
Amenadiel: And that's that...
As the barrier goes down, the factory is revealed not to be what
it seems, as the whole factory seems to have been decorated with
a Joker touch, almost looking like a carnival as the true
appearance of the factory is revealed to be more polished and
rebuilt than they group thought.
Acillia: I'm sorry... What? She says in utter confusion as she
looks at the factory's true appearance. She wasn't sure if she
was surprised more by the factory's true appearance or that he
Joker was able to hide the factory from plain sight.
Amenadiel: Damn... He's probably using Clair's power of magic.
If he's taken some of her grace, then it would make sense why he
could make a warded barrier and make something like this on
short notice... Explains why he gave us time in between
recordings to get our bearings, he needed the time to do this.
Jason: Honestly... This is mostly pretty normal for a Joker
hideout/trap. I'd say it's actually less flashy than some of the
things I've seen him do.
Acillia: I just... I don't know what I was expecting... She says
before shaking off her confusion and surprise as she tries to
pull herself together for the battle to come.
Castiel: I guess we should go inside...
Jason: Just be careful... There's definitely going to be traps
inside. Probably ones designed just for all of us.
Castiel: I can sense people inside... I don't know if they're
innocents or not.
Jason: I'm guessing Joker probably hired some goons to take us
on when we get in there... So probably not on our side.
Constantine readies his special gun, ready for a fight.
Constantine: Only one way to find out.

Mason doesn't say anything. His usual serious expression change
to something a little... darker. He doesn't care what those like
Nightwing say, someone is going to pay with their own blood.
Meaning, that he's slowly going to his Spartan days. Which may
come sooner since Jane is back at the station with L. Without a
word, Mason march in the hideout. After taking a few steps, he
shape shift into a grey rat so he can sneak in.
Jane: Through the ear piece of the group:"So... a creepy cliche
amusement park. I had something for this but I have a feeling
that my Spartan partner will literally kick me to Old Man Pete
(Saint Peter) or Pretty Boy Mike (yes. Michael is one of the
pretty boys) if I make a crappy pun."

Ziva rolled her eyes slightly at Janes comment. Ziva: Tell us
when were back Jane. Until then see if this accursed place has
any working cameras from its operational days and be our eye in
the sky. She readies her gun before she creeps into the building
keeping an eye out for traps. She had a special good eye for
those from her days at NCIS.

L: Well, that's quite an evil clown cliche, isn't it? He says
over the comms.
Nightwing looks over to Red Hood.Nightwing: Wait, this is LESS
flashy? What kind of horror movie shit does YOUR Joker do? I
mean, I expect this too from him, but saying this is less flashy
makes me wonder. He says, somewhat curious. Guess we should get
started then, huh? He says as he takes out a spray and starts
spraying something to make traps more visible, knowing his
universe's Joker had a thing for hiding trips in plain sight.
(Sorry for the wait guys. Summer work has been kicking my ass.)

So far, Nightwing's spray wouldn't reveal any traps, but once
they walk in, they'd see a bunch of cardboard cutouts, which
seemed to be there on purpose.
Joker: Over the intercom Welcome to Uncle J's house of fun! Try
out the games... Have fun... and don't buy the food unless you
willing to pay an... arm and a leg. He says the last part
jokingly, laughing afterward.
Jason: The only game I'm here for is "Kill Joker". He says as he
walks through the room. As he does, he is cut off by the
cardboard cutouts of Joker henchmen, which stand in front of him
and seem to move on their own without anything moving them, and
seem to grow bigger to block him from progressing as they grow
into cutouts of muscular henchmen.
Acillia: Again... What? She says, once again confused, as the
cardboard cutouts grow in hypothetical muscles.
Amenadiel: So... I take it we just destroy the cut outs and move
on.
Jason: No... It's never that simple.

Mason, still in rat form, is still scurrying ahead while
watching his step.

Ziva just tries to keep her eyes on Mason as she attempts to
creep around a cut out without disturbing it.

Nightwing: Well. This is new. He says as he looks at the
cutouts. Only one way to find out. He goes and tries to attack
the cutouts with his staff.

Jason: Wait that's not a good id- He tries to stop Nightwing,
but can't. As Nightwing attacks the cutouts, the cutouts seem
immune to normal physical attacks, and go to punch Nightwing in
the gut hard for him attacking them as retaliation which would
hit pretty hard if Nightwing was hit by it.
The cardboard cutouts that were near Ziva turn and block her
attempt to sneak by, cracking their knuckles as though telling
her that she was probably going to regret trying to get by them.
Cardboard cutouts of muscular rats seem to cut off Mason before
he makes it out of the room, almost appearing like they want to
bully Mason as the superior rats, since they were about three
times his current size.
Acillia: Well this isn't working... She says with a sigh as she
tries to figure out how to get around the cutouts.
Amenadiel: We need to figure out how to end whatever spell
they're under... Assuming they're under a spell. I assume since
I think he is using Clair's magic.

Mason glared at the larger rat cutouts with a hiss. Mason had
fought beasts and humanoids that try to do that stunt to him
long ago. He's pretty used to it. When he heard that the
bastards used Clair's magic to make these cutouts alive, Mason
snarled angrily at the cutouts as he gets ready to tear them
apart.
((Now I got the image of a messed up rat fight but the rat
cutouts are on steroids and Mason's rat form looks like he's on
steroids.))
