Definitely cooking with gas there Pat, here we are crusin' sunny
at 10 with a brisk wind, my grand daughters dog is curled up in
a ball but a lot of outside activity from my mates the Magpies,
is where you living reasonable cool inside?
I've seen FB clips of "It ain't half hot Mum" maybe this spell
could spawn a modern sequel ??? ??? ???
I remember my dad telling me after a hot spell, my mums sister
came to Bexhill and they all went paddling in the sea, he
reckoned shrimping was never the same after that.

Its going to reach 32 here on Saturday- the beach will be
packed. Thankfully its quite cool in most of the house and, at
the moment I have no plans to go out. I need toget a few fence
panels painted, but will leave that till next week when its a
bit cooler.
Dan hates it being really hot, he has fans in his room, I cant
stand the noise so I dont use one.

I don't like the heat so I keep the windows and curtains closed
to stop the sun and heat from getting in and the inside temp is
a nice 22C. I'm drinking plenty of water and eating fruit and
read a whole complete book yesterday and have started another
today.

Some Like It Hot but not me. I've kept the heat and sun out so
my room temp is 22C which is about 71F. It's comfortable. It's
easier to do now without Ray as he didn't like the curtains
being closed and was never warm enough.

Im a bit like Ray, my feet are always cold however hot it gets
!
Our is sometimes 22 which is comfortable. But we dont have your
high heats here. Maybe all the forest fire smoke blocks some of
the sun rays . So its nice here , except when we get high
winds.
That sounds like my kind of day..,nothing like a good book as
company , :)

It got up to 24C in the house yesterday afternoon and that's
just too warm for me. But when Gareth came in from outside he
said it was like having an air conditioner with the outside temp
getting up to 30c.
It's still very warm today but it cloudy and it's rained so it
feels very muggy. And as the hot weather continues it gets
increasingly difficult to keep the hose cool as outside temps
don't drop much until the early hours and then as soon as the
sun's up they rise quickly. I just read that the death toll
because of the hot weather could reach 600.
But it's supposed to be down to a comfortable 20 tomorrow with
weather warnings in place for thunderstorms and heavy rain.

Do you fling all the windows open when you first wake up, to
cool the house for an hour , before the suns up. I used to do
that at the other house , then shut everything and closed the
blinds after that. It helped.
It hasnt been hot enough here yet this year. Its raining
quite hard and has done all night. I hope its also raining
where the forest fires are.

The sun comes in the front in the morning so I keep the curtains
closed till it's gone off and then I close the back curtains
for the rest of the day. By the time I get up at around 9 it's
already too hot to open the windows, but I open them in the
evening when it's cooled down a bit but it's not been cooler
outside till after 11.
