Rallye Breslau 2017 |

|
This year Unimog Club Uk has obtained press passes for the |
|
infamous Rallye Breslau in Poland, this gives us access to the |
|
best action in the rally, myself and Dad (Moose) will be |
|
bringing updates on the small trucks class, traditionally |
|
dominated by Unimogs, so much so that it is Nicknamed �The |
|
Unimog Class�, and also the goings on of the rally. |
|
For Over 20 Years. |
|
The Breslau rally was founded in 1995 and has evolved from a |
|
gathering of friends into an internationally known rally, with |
|
competitors travelling from as far as the USA, such as Couch |
|
off-road with their Magpull Unimog. |
|
The Breslau is known by many as the Dakar of the north, with |
|
sand, mud, forests, swamps and river crossings, and over 1000km |
|
of rally stages, it�s a true test of the endurance of both |
|
vehicle and driver/co-driver. |

The Unimog�s |
|
13 Unimogs have entered into this years rally. |
|
This year Joris Peumans, of ASAP truck rally team, is back to |
|
defend his winning title in his 416 Unimog. |
|
2nd place finisher of last year, Udo Heidenreich, has changed |
|
class�s and will be competing in his Hummer-Unimog Hybrid in the |
|
cross country rally, and last years 3rd place finisher, |
|
Phillippe Musy, will be competing in his Unimog 1550 L37 again. |
|
Team A&D Off-road have a new competition truck which will be |
|
having its baptism in the Breslau rally. |
|
The competition in the Unimog Class is high and there�s no sure |
|
winner. |
|
The first leg starts today, 24/06/2017, with a 150km distance |
|
it�s one of the shortest legs, but it gives a good chance for |
|
the limits of the trucks to be tested and any final issues to be |
|
found. |
|
We will aim to bring daily updates, internet connection |
|
permitting, with current rally positions and photos of the rally |
|
in progress, you can also follow the Facebook page for the |
|
latest pictures and updates. |
