ADF UNIMOG UL1700L - How to drive the Gear Box |

Hi.. Is there anywhere i can find info on how to drive the |
|
UL1700L Gear Box arrangment..? is it the same as other Model's.. |

Just seen your pictures on the other thread, looks a nice couple |
|
of mogs you've got there. |
|
They should be a standard gearbox in them, the same basic set up |
|
as most square cabs, |
|
A straight lever to the right (on a LHD) of the main gearstick |
|
selects forward or reverse. |
|
A main gear lever with gears 1-4 and 5-8 on, with an air shift |
|
between the ranges, should also be warning lights on dash below |
|
heater telling you which gear your in, to use make sure there is |
|
air pressure select your gear, say 3 move off then shift to 4 |
|
normally using clutch, change to 5 using clutch and move the |
|
gear stick in the normal way forward out of 4 across and up to |
|
5, you`ll hear a hiss of air and a clunk this is normal, as you |
|
move the stick across, then carry on with gears 5-8, the same |
|
coming down. Don`t try and rush is going across the gate (3,4 |
|
pos to 5,6). |
|
There is a interlock so you cant change from gear 1,2 to 5678, |
|
or gear 7,8 to 1234, you need to be in gears 3,4 or 5,6 to |
|
change up or down. |
