Grey Swiss army 411 on eBay
By: Spannerman Date: February 22, 2014, 2:27 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Hi all
Did any one see the little grey 411 on eBay last month?
I was really quite interested in it but seemed way too expensive
for my current budget 14k
Does any one know anything about this vehicle, it's spec or
history?
Cheers.

Sorry, don't know any thing about it, but it did look quite nice
the first time I seen it.
It was on again yesterday? earlier in the week? as a scam, you
know the one, selling for a friend, too busy to pass messages on
contact him direct, then gives a female name on the email.
Every other listing that interests me seems to be a scam >:( >:(

the swiss army 411's are well sort after, because theyre almost
like new, very few hours. the rarer ones have air brakes and a
winch on the rear, and generally fetch a fortune. in germany
youll find 2 "clans" the ag spec 411 bunch, who go for the spec
of the vehicle (full linkage, hydraulics, pto, forestry spec
etc) but they generally have had a lot of use, so then you get
the swiss army "clan" who go for the ex military mogs which have
very few hours, some unusual features, and also very interesting
chassis numbers (i used to know what they all meant but its
deludes me at the moment, im sure it will come back :) )
be careful with ebay listings, there are a lot of fraudsters
when it comes to vehicle sales.

thanks all for your replies.
this swiss mog was advertised as having been stood 12-15yrs and
looked like a barn find. it had yellow and blue stencilled
writing on the windscreen like I've seen some mogs have at
shows. don't know what that's supposed to be for?
it also had a strange almost too high single cab steel roof,
similar to the front of the snow blower design but stops with a
bulkhead at the rear of the seats. and the clip in canvas side
windows.
It's not on ebay at the moment but I emailed the seller and
still for sale. shame I cant afford it,
I'll have to be careful if there are fraudsters out there, not
good

It looks to me like it might of been a snow blower, with that
extension at the back, and the cab.
Did it say in the first listing it was an ex snowblower? I could
be thinking of some other unimog.

well with the indicators on the extended bit of roof and the
extention chassis on the back id be thinking its an ex-snow
blower. I know the schmidt cabs on the 406 have extended
steering linkage and higher seats in the cab but did they do
that on 411's?? if not why have a higher cab?? ???

and its an ex-rolba snow cutter

wont have much of a spec about it, wouldn't say its worth the
asking price.

Hi all,
Seems all my questions on this thread answered, I feel a
tutorial request coming on as to what are the differences
between a 411 and a 401, showing my lack of knowledge.
It did look to me more 50's style than later 60's.
Thank you all for your input :)
