Woo! First post in this section!
I spotted the first since joining the forum today. Not sure
which model but it was a U300-500 type with a big cherry picker
on the back.
The driver chuckled to himself as he obviously spotted the look
on my face as he appeared on the roundabout. As always it was a
bit of a drool moment - not looking where I was going and
considering whether to follow it or not?! I decided not as I
don't really like them much - although in the flesh it's
considerably larger than I remembered since seeing the last one.
One day it will be one of the heavy trucks. I've not seen one
U3000-5000 around here yet. ::)

Ha! theyre quite common with lift platforms on the back, used
by a lot of utility companies :)
it was probably one of the longer wheel bases with it being a
lift platform.
the ugn's are more common than the uhn's as theyre used by the
utilities and also are more comfortable.

I just can't understand why they didn't make it a little
tougher? If it could handle the same terrain as the old trucks
and the new heavy range they'd be great, but they're like the
old U90 etc - not quite what a Mog should be!

id be putting a post in this section everyday if i put every
mog i spotted ;D
the ugn isnt designed for ultimate offroad though, its designed
as an implement carrier for road side work/councils/utility
companies. if you are after a tough epic offroader then you go
for a uhn. but the ugn is usually more than capable for what
people want. :)
