Part II: Shackled from Hopes and Dreams
By: The Koray Date: March 19, 2017, 7:28 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
((Please do not post in this thread until you have had your
character exit any Part One threads they may still be in. Thank
you.))
((Note: This is the thread for monsters whom have been captured
by The Koray and has it's own exclusive story section from the
rest of the other characters in the Arc. Most characters whom
have been captured are ideally child monsters, but, older
monsters are still welcome to join this thread. If you started
off for your character to being on the rescue/investigation team
in Part One but like the idea of them being captured for the
rest of the arc instead, then you may also join if you so wish.
Please remember that once you have joined the Captured side of
the story, you cannot switch sides again until your character
has been rescued. If you're recently switching sides and haven't
been captured for long, feel free to post them being dragged
into this room.))
----
The room was dark and damp. Those whom have been locked away
here haven't seen outside these four, windowless, poorly lit
storage room. Dozens upon dozens of child monsters have been
carelessly dumped here for days on end with no food and no
water. Luckily for the monsters, the way they processed food was
different to how humans did, so there was no need for a bathroom
anyway. Each captured monster - almost all of them being
children - had a collar wrapped tightly around their neck and it
disabled them from defending themselves with magic. No matter
how much they tried, none of them have been successful of
removing it thus far, but with any luck they might find a way.
There was certainly no hope here, especially for those whom had
been here for so long.
In the front corner of the room, right next to the doorway sat a
very small, metallic silver dragon. She had a crown of horns
around her skull and down along her spine, as well as knife-like
tail blades. Her lime green eyes seemed to provide a little
extra light to the room, like a pair of dim torches whenever she
looked around the room. Those whom have been here for at least a
short while would know her name to be Marver, the younger sister
to Cobalt; former Royal Blacksmith. Marver has claimed that out
of the surviving victims, that she has been here the longest and
will do whatever she can to alert the others whenever someone
was coming and to keep everyone as safe as she possibly could.
The young dragoness may be putting on a brave face as she sat by
the door, listening for anyone coming, but deep down she was
absolutely petrified.

*Pandora's just kinda there, on the kazoo- Any attempts to touch
her are met with a lack of a corporeal body to touch, so no
imprisoning her. And anybody who's seen what she can do before
probably knows that there's not a single thing in the world they
could do to keep her there if she really wanted to leave...
She's here of her own free will, and she could just as easily be
elsewhere if she wished it. But as for right now, she's here,
and she's kinda rocking out on that kazoo of hers...*

The room was filled with starving, terrified and lost children
of the Underground. All shackled and most were crying for fear
of being away from their homes and the ordeal.
Marver was the first to whirl around at the source to the noise.
She didn't remember seeing her being dragged in before and the
lack of collar on her neck only caused for the dragon scowl,
"How dare you! You have the power to come and go as you please
and yet you choose to sit here and mock us instead of helping!
You're sick in the head!" she growled.
True Pandora was powerful, unpredictable and physically
intangible, but not untouchable. In this room the specially made
collars were designed to prevent monsters from using their magic
to attack or defend themselves... but that wasn't the only thing
to dread for in here. The walls were dark, slimy and a low
rumbling which rattled from the walls caused for Marver and the
other captives whom had been here long enough to know to fear
such a warning. Instantly they all scrambled and piled on top of
each other in the centre of the room, doing the very best they
could to get as far away from the walls as possible. The ones at
the bottom of the pile of monsters found it difficult to breath
but at least they would be least affected... right?
Moments later the walls glowed white-hot red and the children
screamed and writhed. Every occupant in the room could feel
their bodies and magic being drained away; the stronger and more
'awesome' they were, the faster their magic was being sapped dry
from. This 'room' moaned, utterly enjoying the feast within. A
couple of the smaller children at the edges of the pile cried
and screamed, and before they knew it their bodies shattered;
dust caked the floor like dry sand. Who knows how many more
lives would be lost before the 'room' decided that it had it's
fill.
The longer Pandora stayed here, the more she will lose control
of her magic and power... who knows, she may decide to stay long
enough to turn to a state when she too could be collared.
Oh how unfortunate to be one of so much power.
((Got a story to follow, no de-railing please.))

---------------------------------------------------------
"Meka, where are you? " a small white goat whispered to no one
in particular . Her brown eyes were dull from repetitively
having the magic drained from her body but a small hopeful spark
was still there. She is coming. She is coming. She will save me.
Monster dust coated her paws and Kapral squirmed uncomfortably.
Her magic was useless against others but she could still use it
on herself. Illusions that only she could see appeared before
her eyes. Her family stood before her and she gave a weak smile
before the room hinted that it would drain them again. Quickly
she joined the mass of children in the middle and awaited her
fate. Would she join many of the already fallen monsters?

"Look, guys, I'm really sorry- I don't mean to be mocking, but
I'm not actually allowed to save you. Believe me, I would if I
could, but I can't, or I'd displease a lot of people that don't
exist in this plane of reality- When this all blows over, I'll
try and come to find you and explain all of it then. Or maybe
not- But... you all looked kinda depressed in here. So I was...
I was kinda trying to cheer all of you up with my kazoo skills.
I suppose it didn't really work, huh?..."
*The draconequus writhed when the room started to drain- The
room, whatever it was, would find no end of magical power in
her. Her form started to fizzle back into physical form
ever-so-slightly, and she was quick to POOF elsewhere before she
lost the power to do so; She wasn't generally one for subjecting
herself to pain voluntarily... Her kazoo has been dropped,
unfortunately.*
"Yeouch... Glad I got outta THERE in time. And all in one piece,
too- Oh, damn it, where's my kazoo?"

Marver just stared at Pandora throughout the ordeal. None of
what she said didn't make any sense, but rather sounded like a
list of excuses. Out of sheer rage the dragoness picked up the
fallen kazoo and threw it at the draconequus' head before
returning her attention to the group of captives.
She was huddled next to Kapral and the dragon instinctively
wrapped an arm around her back into a hug with a right arm and
did the same to whomever was on her left with her left arm.
Kapral and Marver seemed to be okay... for now.
With Pandora gone the 'room' ceased its feasting; until the next
time. All was quiet, except from the prisoners kept within.

"Let go of me you numskull! Hey! Didn't you hear me!? I said let
go!"
A pink and white, soda themed furred shark would be dragged in
by a werebeast, a collar already strapped tightly around her
neck, with one paw she tugged at it uncomfortably, while the
other hand kept a firm hold on Undyne's helmet, which she still
had it seemed.
Cherry was struggling against and kicking the werebeast best she
couldn't without loosing grip on the helmet, as she had promised
Undyne she would keep it safe. But with no success, she would
soon be tossed in with the scared children, imprisoned with the
rest of them.
The toss would send her in a short roll which would end with her
smacking her chin on the floor of the prison. Cherry would huff
gently before pushing herself up into a sitting position,
rubbing her chin gently and hugging the helmet close before
looking to the rest of the people in the room, curling up
lightly, her shark tail wrapping round her slightly. She wished
she had been as fast as Gust was so she could be getting food
with him instead of being here... Wherever here was.
"[sub]W... What's going on? What is this?" She would ask
softly... There where a lot of kids here.. Had she been mistaken
for a kid as well? Usually this would cause her to huff about
being called short, but right now, she was too confused and
rather afraid to be huffy.

Kapral accepted Marver's embrace and gave a sigh of relief that
she had someone here that was protecting her. Though she could
still feel the magic being drained from her body and was
becoming weak physically she stayed mentally strong thanks to
both Marver and the thought of her family. It seemed like the
room had stopped, seeing as one of the were beasts had decided
it was safe to open the door. Kapral lay still among the other
monsters, gasping slightly as she began to recover from being
drained. It was after a few seconds that she had the energy to
notice that Cherry was now with them. The small goat looked
sadly at the newcomer and started to explain.
"This place... it eats up your magic until you fall apart" the
little goat whimpered. "The walls are scary".

Re: Part II: Shackled from Hopes and Dreams
By: Red Date: March 21, 2017, 3:01 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Red was calm.
A young woman was lead into the room with a blue stag beetle
child, he looked about ten years old. She was eighteen. As they
walked, the child clung to her leg. Both of them looked like
they had been to hell and back. Cuts, scrapes, dirt, and
finally, dust. The boy was also injured, beneath his shell
flaps, were nothing but stubs of what used to be budding wings.
The girls curly hair did a great job of covering her eyes.
They had tried to take everything from her. She was barefoot,
missing her hood and cape, and all her supplies and weapons had
been striped from her. All she had left was the boy, and a
burning desire to kill every last Koray she set her eyes on.
These were the eyes of Undyne's apprentice, Red Slicing Hood.
As they were pushed into the room, Red turned towards the Koray
who had prodded them, and locked eyes with it. She thought she
saw a flinch.
"....."
With that, they were sealed once more into the enchanted prison.
Immediately Red felt a wave of fatigue bear down on her. She
looked around almost frantically for the source, but to no
avail. She watched as Stanley nearly fell to his knees as he
cried out in pain and weariness. Something was wrong.
"Miss Red... it hurts." He cried out.
Red's eyes darted across the room, examining the piles of
children scurrying to survive. She fought the urge to cry out in
shock, but she couldn't give them the satisfaction. Fresh dust
was in the air, she saw the remains of the children who had just
passed literally crumbling from a body to dust. She couldn't
help it, tears flowed down her cheeks as she witnessed this,
"Oh my god...." she whispered to herself, attempting to suck it
up.
This was evil. She always knew darkness had existed in this
world, but to see it first hand, and at the expense of the young
and innocent, one surely could not believe horrible things like
this could really happen, could they? It was foolish to think
that everyone was capable of empathy, or even mercy.
"....I will kill them all." She practically choked, her eyes
shaking with innate frustration and rage.
When she saw the Dragonness, her heart nearly skipped a beat.
Marver , the former Royal Blacksmith's sister was here too!?
"Marver!" she cried embracing her almost immediately, "It's
Red... I'm here." It was so reassuring to see a friendly face.
"What is this place? Why do I feel so drained? Are you okay? Are
you hurt?" She looked over the Dragonness for any wounds of
signs of decay.
She looked to Kapral, she thought she had overheard the young
kid mention something about the walls and magic. This filled her
with fear. "How long has thus been going on? How long have you
been here?"
She looked around desperately for someone else she might have
known, yet she felt her heart freeze as she looked to Cherry,
and the helmet.
The worst part of her was filled with dread, and fear. However,
the better part of her knew to ask, and to remain hopeful.
"Where and how did you get that?" She would ask Cherry quietly,
pointing to the helmet. She prayed that her best friend and
mentor was still alive.

What Kapral said made Cherry clutch the helmet tighter, "B...
But I don't have any magic! Well.. Not any that I'm aware of.."
Yet, despite believing that she didn't, she still felt the
weight of the room and draining feeling the walls where giving.
"T.. This is awful! Who is responsible for this? Why are they
doing this?" She would ask, trying to get to her feet.
There where so many kids... All piled up in the center of the
room to be as far away from the walls as they possibly could...
This was disgustingly cruel.. It was hard to witness. Not just
that but she was also in there with them, being drained as well.
What of, she didn't know.
Cherry would watch as two more where brought in, Red and
Stanley. Looks like these people where still capturing people
and bringing them in here to be drained dry of their magic.
Red seemed to know one of the people in here, and began asking
things of her own, some of the questions Cherry wanted to know
herself.
When she was addressed, Cherry would look at the helmet in her
hands, before looking back at Red, "Undyne gave it to me after
coming to my home village after the children in our village had
gone missing. She asked me to look after it for her... I was on
my way to find her and return it, when I was dragged here"
Cherry would look away, staring at the floor for a few moments
before back at Red. "Do you know what's going on? Do you know
who's brought us all here?" She would ask, resting the helmet on
her knees after she sat back down again, before then resting her
chin atop the helmet, wishing she was as brave and as strong as
Undyne was so that maybe she could help these poor kids...
Believing you weren't strong or brave enough won't get you
anywhere though! Cherry would look around the walls and around
the entrance which they'd came into the room by. "There must be
someway out of here" She would say aloud. There must be
something they could do, anything.. right?
