ne of my
favorite words in the English language is DIVERSITY and one of
my favorite things about this forum is that we all come from
diverse backgrounds and cultures. I wanted to open this thread
in order for us to share our cultures with one another.
Diversity is the one true thing we all have in common.
Celebrate it every day.
n this thread you may post anything
that you feel represents your country. It can be music videos,
recipes, photos, poetry or just general information.
hen you

he Common Coqu or Coqu
(Eleutherodactylus coqui) is a frog native to Puerto Rico
belonging to the Eleutherodactylus genus of the Leptodactylidae
family. The species is named for the loud sound (sometimes
reaching as high as 100 dB at a distance of 0.5 m) the males
make at night. This sound serves two purposes. \'CO\' serves to
repel males and establish territory while the \'QUI\' serves to
attract females. Since the auditory systems of males and females
respond preferentially to different notes of the male call, this
is an example of a sex difference in a sensory system. The
Common Coqu is a very important aspect of Puerto Rican culture
Native to the island of Puerto Rico , the Coqui Frog is the
official animal of Puerto Rico and its presence is felt (and
heard) throughout the island. The Coqui belongs to the
eleutherodactylus genus, which is greek for free toes. Coquis
are grayish in color and are very small frogs. Fully grown male
coquis are an average 34mm long, while females are usually
around 41mm.
uerto Ricans are often heard using the phrase \"Yo
soy de aqui como el coqui\" I am from here, like the coqui

ven though
Greece is a small country comparing to others,
there\'s an amazing characteristic about it.
he Greek Islands
are a collection of over 6,000 islands and
islets that belong to Greece.
nly 227 of the islands are
inhabited, and only 78 of those have more than 100 inhabitants.
Also Greece has a coastline of 13.676 km,
which is a huge number considering the size of the country.
