Re: Putin and Xi Jinping share video call as they announce exte

It's looking like I feared correctly:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/china-says-wants-more-cooperation-091651422.html
China Says It Wants More Cooperation With Russias
Military
(Bloomberg) -- China said it wants closer ties with Russias
military, a sign Moscow still has Beijings support after the
aborted Wagner mutiny.
Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu said in a meeting Monday
with Nikolai Yevmenov, commander-in-chief of Russias navy, that
with the joint efforts of both sides, the relations between the
two militaries will continue to deepen and solidify, constantly
make new progress and reach a new level.
Li said he hoped the two navies could strengthen communication,
regularly hold joint exercises and expand practical
cooperation, according to a statement from Defense Ministry in
Beijing.
The comments add to signs Beijing is shoring up ties with Moscow
in the wake of the Wagner mercenary groups uprising last month,
the biggest ever threat to Vladimir Putins rule.
As I have said before, so long as Eurocentrist Xi is in charge,
we can continue to expect the wrong decision every time.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/chinas-embassy-russia-criticises-treatment-050601482…
(Reuters) - China's embassy in Russia criticised the
treatment of five Chinese citizens who were refused entry into
Russia, calling the treatment inconsistent with the overall
friendly relations between the two countries.
What "overall friendly relations"?! Everyone knows it is totally
one-sided! This is just the latest example!
The five, attempting to drive into Russia from Kazakhstan
late last month, were refused entry after four hours of
examination and had their visas cancelled, the embassy said on
its WeChat social media account on Friday.
Woke comments:
Maybe China should rethink their relationship with
Russia. Hum?

russian people and chinese people have nothing in
common

Around 4 Chinese citizens have recently been killed by
Wagnerites in Africa by "accident"

China needs to invoke the Putin Doctorine, and invade
Russia to "protect Chinese citizens."

Vladivostok was once a flourishing Chinese city in the
north eastern province of China. The Russians invaded and
booted the Chinese out historically.

China's claim to Siberia is a lot more solid than
Russia's claim to the Ukrain. By Russia's own reasoning, China
is entitled to invade. What Russia can do, China can do with
far more success. Russia is a sitting duck in Siberia.

Sounds like the beginnings of a border dispute that will
ultimately result in China repossessing Outer Mongolia.

Maybe more than just Outer Mongolia. Some maps and at
least one museum in China show its "historic" border about 600
mi north of where it is now, that is well into the present
territory of Russia. The Russian bear showed up in the 19th
century and permanently occupied those large areas of Chinese
land. A peace treaty was signed around 1860. The Chinese
remember that well, can exact their revenge now that Putin's
Russia has no leverage with China
(Except Russia still has psychological leverage because of Xi's
Eurocentrism.....)

Will Eurocentrist Xi ever learn?
https://www.yahoo.com/news/why-kim-jong-un-meeting-183841928.html
Why Kim Jong-uns meeting with Putin is an embarrassment
for China
...
For Xi, it is a rogue move, and indeed an affront, for Kim to
choose Moscow over Beijing for a rare visit abroad, and his
first in years particularly given that China was a lifeline
for North Korea through the pandemic.
...
An arms deal with North Korea may also lead to the Kremlin
turning to China to ask for further support, putting Beijing in
an increasingly uncomfortable position.
Russias war in Ukraine has been a headache for Beijing from day
one.
...
Beijing doesnt want to be forced onto one side or the other. Xi
personally courted Putin, so it would be embarrassing to have a
public break from Russia at this point doing so would indicate
that Xi perhaps made a poor decision.
It is why Beijing has, more than a year into the war, shied away
from denouncing Putins invasion, and refuses to publicly take a
side.
But Putins meeting with Kim is yet another indicator that
perhaps Xi did, indeed, make the wrong call in cultivating a
relationship with Russia.
Woke comments:

too often....
he is not a smart one.
gotta wonder when forces inside china might move to make him
gone...
hundred year ago, took by Russia in a same way what Russia is
doing to Crimea.
Why Russia and China Have Quietly Fallen Out
While they're often thought of as close allies, recent
reports suggest that Russia and China's relationship may be more
transactional than it appears. So in this video we'll examine
this recent tension and what it tells us about their relations
generally.
Comments:
Countries dont have friends, they have interests

What if they mutually align on lots of interests such as
the EU and US or EU + US?

Well rn both of them have a common interest. The us
brought them together, and the us will keep them together.
Nothing will change as long as the us remains as a common
problem for them both.

Countries have nothing at all, just land. On the other
hand, in the sense meant here, governments of countries
certainly have friends, as well as interests.

What do you think a friend is?

The CCP has never truly been friends with the Russian
Federation. Their decades long animosity towards the US and the
west made them allies of "convenience." at times. That
relationship has always been fragile at best.

Think about BRICS. Brazil just wants an independent
foreign policy free from US influence, Russia fears Chinese
economic dominance, India and China have active border disputes
claiming the lives of soldiers in both countries in recent
years, and South Africa is too preoccupied with internal
problems to do much of anything. BRICS is clear demonstration
that countries don't have friends, they have interests.
Westernized countries put their own interests above the needs of
"friends", because westernized countries primary unspoken
directive is merely economic, thus technological, growth above
all else?

won't care?

Russia: you are wishful thinking. Chinese is not in your
Does this have anything to do with Trump's recent
Looks like Trump's ass-kissing of Putin has finally borne
some fruit.

Putin has reunited with his friend once again. Goodbye to
Russians have always wanted to be considered
European/Western. The oligarchs have their houses / boats in
Europe/US and not in Peking or China.

They are more similar to the west than east Asia.

Russia always was culturally closer to Europe and
Outer Mongolia was Chinese territory before Russia took

PLA Honor Guard set for Red Square parade
https://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202505/08/WS681cd352a310a04af22be376.html
The People's Liberation Army Honor Guard has prepared
well to take part in the spectacular military parade that will
mark the 80th anniversary celebrations of the victory of the
Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War on Friday in Moscow, Russia,
in a demonstration of China's commitment to maintaining world
peace.
The 119 members of the PLA Honor Guard have already participated
in three rehearsals on April 29, Saturday and Wednesday for
the parade at Red Square in Moscow.
In a statement released on Monday, the Chinese Defense Ministry
said the PLA Honor Guard was invited by the defense ministries
of Russia and Belarus to participate in commemorative parades
marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet
Union's Great Patriotic War in Moscow and Minsk.
Meanwhile, videos of the members of the Honor Guard
participating in the rehearsals in Moscow have sparked
widespread discussions on Chinese social media.
In the videos, the guards can be seen singing popular Chinese
military songs while marching, as Chinese students and local
residents warmly cheer them on.
"When I guarded the Chinese flag down the streets of Moscow and
saw countless Chinese expatriates waving the national flag, I
felt that the flag is a symbol of faith, direction and the
dreams and hopes of countless Chinese people," Cui Hangteng, a
member of the Honor Guard squad, was quoted by China Media Group
as saying after a rehearsal.
"This warmth is our strength in this mission," he added.
In another widely circulated video, the Honor Guard soldiers can
be seen chanting slogans, such as "Remember history, commemorate
the martyrs" and "Justice will prevail. Peace will prevail. The
people will prevail", as they march down the streets. Crowds of
onlookers can be seen responding enthusiastically, shouting,
"Long live China!"
Another popular video shows the Honor Guard members singing Ode
to the Motherland, one of China's best known patriotic songs,
accompanied by a Chinese woman in the crowd playing a bamboo
flute.
Liu Chao, another member of the Honor Guard, told China Media
Group that to further demonstrate the friendship between China
and Russia, they also learned to sing classic Russian songs.
During the rehearsals in Red Square, they chanted "Long live
China-Russia friendship. Long live world peace" in Russian.
Upon arriving in Moscow, the Honor Guard squad had to adjust to
the time difference and change in weather. They trained
rigorously to ensure a high-standard performance.
Another team member, Zhang Dingxin, said that they drew from
previous experience of international appearances, actively
overcoming the adverse effects of time and temperature
differences, as well as changes in environment. They especially
made plans to cope with possible adverse weather conditions and
unexpected situations to ensure a spectacular parade appearance.
In 2015, members of the PLA Honor Guard participated in a
military parade in Moscow commemorating the 70th anniversary of
the victory of the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War.
Empty slogans of liberation and unity are certainly a
Marxist\Lenist\-Communist phenomenon that even the MAGA
Communists are capable of. Do true friends put a time limit on
friendship? The concept of: "I will be your friend for the next
5 years, after that you might be my enemy, I guess we will cross
that bridge when we get to it?", works in forming friendships
and alliances in ordinary civilian life? No wonder Hitler never
trusted the U.S.S.R.!!!
