Expert: Treasure trove of documents debunks Trump claim
that president isnt an officer of US
...
Several examples show that both at the time of the Founding and
the ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, the term "officer
of the United States" clearly encompassed the presidency,
Heilpern pointed out, referring to his research.
These include an act of Congress that specifically identifies
the president as an officer of the United States and
presidential proclamations that specifically identify the
president as the "chief executive officer of the United States"
or "chief civil executive officer of the United States.
In his brief to the Colorado Supreme Court, Trump stated that
despite the many words and citations that treat the President
as an officer not one authority holds that the President is an
officer of the United States no case, no statute, no record of
Congressional debate, no common usage, no attorney general
opinion."
However, Heilperns research suggests otherwise. The Postal Act
of 1792, for example, specifically identifies the president as
an officer of the United States. The language clearly states
which officers of the United States should be granted a
franking privilege the ability to send mail by their signature
rather than by postage listing both the president and vice
president as officers of the United States.
There are also several presidential proclamations written by
President Andrew Johnson, who was in office during the drafting
and ratification of the 14th Amendment. In these proclamations,
he referred to himself as either the "chief executive officer of
the United States" or the "chief civil executive officer of the
United States," Heilpern explained.
In their research, Heilpern and co-author Michael Worley found a
couple of instances in the impeachment trial of Johnson where
the president is implicitly or explicitly referred to as an
officer of the United States.
You would have thought this was obvious from the Oath of Office
alone:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oath_of_office_of_the_president_of_the_United_Sta…
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall
take the following Oath or Affirmation: "I do solemnly swear
(or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of
President of the United States, and will to the best of my
Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the
United States."[2]

Donald Trump's MAGA Fans Claim He Pretends To 'Fall
Asleep' In Court: 'Its A Ruse'
...
On Donald Trump's first and second day in court for his hush
money trial, reports surfaced that the former president fell
asleep during the hearing. He was then severely mocked online,
with #SleepyDon topping the X (formerly Twitter) trend list.
However, die-hard Trump supporters have come out to defend the
77-year-old, as they believe he was actually awake and was only
put on an act.
...
"It's a ruse. Everything he does is calculated. He's never
fallen asleep. It's not a thing he does. He goes to several
meetings a day."
Woke comments:
And his ignorance and stupidity is a ruse too?

Just like he didnt cheat on his wifes he was just
pretending to ride the pony

He pretended to get Covid too right?!

He also pretends to be a tangerine, a Christian, a man of
intelligence, a rich man, a family man, an honest man...the list
goes on MAGA.

Just like he pretends to declassify documents. Pretends
that bleach is a great deterrent to covid virus in the human
body. Just like he pretends to mock people with disabilities.
Yeah right.

You mean like he pretends to tell the truth? You need to
stop watching Fox news night and consider seeing a
shrink!

He also pretends to be rich.

He also pretends to be a stable genius.

trump was also only pretending to be a vast business
fraud when he succeeded in convincing the court to fine him $400
million.

He pretends to be intelligent. Its a ruse.

YEP! Trump is too brilliant for us! Pretending to fall
asleep in court, looking directly at the sun during an eclipse,
believing there were airplanes/airports during the Revolutionary
War, believing the Stealth fighter is literally invisible,
believing windmills cause cancer, believing magnets don't work
under water, suggesting we inject disinfectant and sunlight to
cure Covid, believing an ID is needed to buy bread, pretending
to be a scared 🐈 and not joining the insurrectionists he
sent to the Capital like he said he would, believing the battle
of Gettysburg was beautiful.

I'm sure Melania liked it when he pretended to commit
adultery when he cheated an all his wives, had a baby with one
while being married to another. She especially liked it when he
pretended to payoff a porn star, a playboy model and a doorman
for crying out loud while being married to her and pretending to
make a complete fool of her when he did it while she was
pregnant. He also pretended to incite an insurrection.
Millions in damages, people injured and maimed, some even died
and later committed suicide. Then he pretended to call it a
peaceful demonstration. He pretended to have his broken
followers run around defecting on office floors yelling for an
80 pound 80 year old lady to beat and hang. He also pretended
to tell his coward followers that his own vice president was
fair game and put his family in danger for their lives as
well.
