Blazing a New Trail [open]
By: Mika Date: October 9, 2012, 1:39 pm

Sera stepped on the mountain trail. She was followed by a small
white fox who darted about her feet. The breeze tousled her
hair lightly as she walked. The fresh air felt good. She
paused momentarily as her deep blue eyes scanned the trees. The
fox started bounding through the trees a bit, as the young woman
smiled at her companion.

In an opposite direction, as if coming down the trail, a young
woman steps lightly out of the trees. A low woof comes from the
opposite side of the path, and a massive head showed itself from
the treeline. Her face, at first, is the most notable thing.
Feminine, delicately carved, dusky Mediterranean skin and
dominated by large grey eyes and a Cupid's bow mouth. Hair that
looked looked like pooled blood fell down her back, and wings
the same shade of her eyes peeked from underneath.
As she registered the presence of another, that peek of those
wings is gone, so quickly, that one might think they'd imagined
it. The large dog's head turned, settling eyes on the
approaching girl. He looked almost as if he might be weighing
her. But canines didn't do such things. Still, some uncanny
intelligence lays behind those big brown eyes.
The woman's stormy eyes settle on the fox, a small grin on her
lips. She'd wait to see if the little, sly animal might be
friendly enough to approach. In the end, she let Moose inspect
the other girl. She always trusted his opinions. It didn't stop
the exorcist from stealing glances at the other woman out of
curiosity.

Sera tilted her head lightly catching sight of the other woman.
Her blue eyes falling on her studying her slightly, before she
turned to the the dog. She smiled softly at him, always loving
the company of animals. She him study her if that's what he
wanted. She looked back into his brown eyes, as she stayed
still. Giving off a quiet calm air.
The little fox tilted his head slightly. He took a few cautious
steps forward, sniffing at the air lightly. The little creature
had an friendly curiosity. He walked up to the young woman, and
sat down yipping softly.

The woman sat on the ground in front of the fox with a delighted
giggle. She opened her hands, palm up, to let the little animal
sniff them. She has a love for critters. The huge canine that
called Lorelei his padded toward Sera. He stopped in front of
her, sat down on his haunches, and offered a paw with a
dignified air.
The girl spoke, voice naturally a little on the softer end.
Perhaps an indicator that she'd been, at one time, a very shy
individual, but had worked to overcome it. "Hi. I'm Lorelei.
That's Moose that's offering to shake your hand."

The fox wagged it's tail excitedly as the woman sat down. He
sniffed her hands lightly. His fluffy tail warpped around him
as he nudged her hands with his head, as he tilted her head up
at her, studying her lightly
Sera smiled at the Canine and gladly took his paw. She shook it
gently as she spoke. Her own voice was soft with a bit of an
air of shadow, almost like she didn't speak much. "It's nice to
meet you Moose." A smile crept into her eyes as she turned
toward the woman. "It's nice you meet you as well Lorelei. I'm
Sera, and that little friendly one is Flocon."

She laughed softly as the fox nudged her hands. Yet, at his
touch, she knew that this was no normal fox. She met eyes with
the little fox demon, and smiled. "Hello, Flocon. It's nice to
meet you." A little demon feels both a kinship, and yet a peace
that their kind don't usually have from the girl. It's a puzzle
for him, surely.
She looked over and up to see what Moose happened to be up to.
He'd put his paw down, and now licked at Sera's hand delicately,
asking for pets with a thump of his tail. "Nice to meet you, as
well, Sera. Are you new here? I don't remember ever seeing you."
And Lorelei knew she have remembered that face.

Flocon tilted his head lightly at the woman and her stage air.
However the little fox demon seemed to smile as his tail darted
back and forth and he yipped brightly. He placed a paw on her
knee and licked her hand lightly.
Sera grinned at the canine as he licked her hand. She leaned
down slightly as she pet Moose gently. She scratched his head
lightly as she looked back up at Lorelei. Sera tilted her head
lightly at the question. "Yes I'm fairly new. I transferred in
late fairly late along in my schooling. I also have a tendency
to keep to myself." She shrugged lightly, it was just how she
saw it. She had always spent most of her time alone.

She gave the little demon's ears a scritch, opening her arms as
if to invite him to sit in her lap, if he so chose. She looked
at Sera, nodding her head slightly.
"That makes sense. But you arriving late makes even more sense.
I notice even those that keep to themselves. Especially those
that keep to themselves. I like them...better." She said softly,
eyes shifting away. Those that kept their own counsel were less
likely to talk behind your back.
Her shoulders shifted slightly, as though she was settling
feathers ruffled. "What sort of exorcism do you study, Sera?"

Flocon purred lightly at his ears being scratched. He jumped
lightly into Lorelei's lap wrapping his tail around his body
curling up tightly.
Sera smiled lightly as she sat down on the ground next to Moose
and scratched his chin lightly. She watched the girls
movements, noting them carefully. She pushed her hair back from
her face before answering, giving the briefest glance at the
magic circle tattooed on her wrist. "I study across three
Meisters; Tamer, Doctor, and Aria. I've never been much for
using any sort of physical weapon." She shifted forward
slightly as she spoke, intent on listening to the other's reply.
"What about you Lorelei?"

Her nails filtered through the white fur of the fox, and she
smiled as he purred. She's still smiling that sweet smile as she
looks at Sera. It lends an even more angelic and otherworldly
cast to her already beautiful face.
"I study Knight and Aria. I haven't yet chosen my third. Why did
you choose those veins of exorcism?" She asked softly, curious
about the other girl, despite her obvious reticence. She won't
push if Sera gets uncomfortable, but it was good to share with
another.
