| The Tactical Defense Institute offers a class called "field | |
| medicine". Here is their description. | |
| "An intensive, practical approach to fundamental concepts, | |
| conducted within the framework of BLS (Basic Life Support) and | |
| TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care), and reinforced with | |
| hands-on exercises geared toward basic airway maintenance, | |
| hemorrhage and pain control, peripheral IV/IO placement, | |
| splinting, suturing, positioning, immobilization, and ground/air | |
| transport. Emphasis will be placed on recognition and management | |
| of immediate life threats. The student will be exposed to a | |
| variety of scenarios, techniques, equipment and supplies, and | |
| begin to develop a medical kit, tailored to their own | |
| situation." | |
| I personally have taken a few gun training classes here and they | |
| are top notch. Very professional and helpful. I'm planning on | |
| taking this class this year. | |
