Do you know what to do in the event of an Active Shooter or |
|
violent encounter when medical assistance is not immediately |
|
available. Do you know how to preserve and save your own life, |
|
let alone the life of others? |
|
Your life or the life of a friend or family member may depend on |
|
your preparedness and ability to respond effectively in an |
|
emergency situation. Trauma kits and proper training are part of |
|
that preparedness. |
|
Students will learn the basic principles of a scene assessment, |
|
emergency casualty care, and implement immediate care and life |
|
saving techniques to properly treats the �Big 3� (Hemorrhage |
|
Control, Pneumothorax, Airway Obstruction) associated with |
|
penetrating trauma wounds. Students will also be certified in |
|
CPR and receive a certification from the American Heart |
|
Association that is valid for 2 years. Course tuition includes a |
|
basic IFAK to treat wounds associated with GSWs. |
