Poway Weapons and Gear (PWG) offers a 1 hour Trauma 1 - Bleeding |
|
Control class for $20.00. The following topics are covered: |
|
- Bleeding Control with Tourniquet |
|
- Bleeding Control with gauze packs |
|
- Topical Hemostatic agents |
|
- Open airway |
|
The class is scheduled at noon every Tuesday and Friday. During |
|
the class you will apply a tourniquet to you or your partner's |
|
arms and legs as many as 15 times! You will also pack a block |
|
of ballistic gel with hemostatic gauze at least 12 times! |
|
The class is taught by a 14 year military combat medic. You |
|
must preregister to attend. |
