Bible Codes.
By: Edwin. Date: February 24, 2013, 4:30 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
I am not an expert on Bible Codes, but I know that they do
exist, unfortunately a lot of nonsense has been put forward as
coming from Bible Codes , and has given the subject a bad name.
I hope that what follows will go some way to redress the
balance.
There are at least 3 different Codes that I know of, they are
ELS, Equidistant Letter Spacing, NS, Numeric Substitution, and
FLS, First Letter Selection.
I will try to give examples of all 3, but firstly the correct
approach to Scripture is required. You must not go looking for a
revelation to support your own private view, but rather thank
the Lord in advance for just what He will reveal to you as you
study His word.
You may feel that Bible Codes are something that has only
recently been discovered. Such is not in fact the case, they
were certainly known about 2000 years ago.
Let me now give you an example of FLS from John's Gospel.. Read
Ch 19 vs 19-22. Why were the chief priests so concerned, they
had got what they wanted, Jesus was on the cross, He would most
certainly die, what did it matter what was written above His
head?..
What had they seen, that others would also be able to see.. Well
in Aramaic when a word is qualified by an article, a new single
word was formed ie "The Jews" became "thejews" (no capital
letters in Aramaic).
If you take the most likely form that the original inscription
took, and then translate it back into English, you would get
"jesus nazareth andking thejews" ie 4 words.
If you use FLS, then you get the most holy name of Almighty God
as revealed at Ex Ch 3 v 14. This name was considered so holy,
that Jews were forbidden to speak it out loud when reading
scripture in public.
The clearest indication possible that this man below the
inscription is non other than The Lord your God. Now do you
understand why they wanted it to read "He said that He was".
Another code is "Numeric Substitution". It is normally concluded
that Codes can only be found in the original Hebrew, Aramaic, or
Greek, this is not in fact the case, as you can also find a
completely new set of information in a translation ie English.
Take for example the First verse of the First Chapter of the
first Book of the Bible.
Have a look at the action word "Created". Now in Hebrew this
word is made up of 4 letters, whereas in English it is 7
letters. Now the No 7, and it's multiples are very important
numbers in Scripture.
The 3 Bible languages do not have a separate table of numbers as
we do in English, in their case a=1, b=2, c=3, and so on, we
don't have this, but if we did then the first letter of created
would =3, and the last letter would =4.
God said "I am the first, and the last" so what happens if we
add the first to the last, we get 7 again, but this is not all
if we add up the numerical equivalents of all the letters of
created we get a total of 308, a number which can be divided
exactly by 7 with nothing left over.
Three different lots of sevens in one word, Coincidence? I
think not.
How does one arrive at a total of 308? J=10, but K=20, L=30,
until you get to 100, and then the next letter is 200, and so
on.
7 goes into 308, 44 times. If you add 4+4, you get 8 which means
fresh start, new beginning
This is the 3rd part of my message on Bible Codes, and deals
with Equidistant Letter Spacing.
Firstly look at that wonderful love story, The Book of Ruth, and
Ch 4 where we are told that Boaz married Ruth, and that She bore
Obed, who fathered Jesse, who fathered David.
Now read v 12, and ask yourself why the Holy Spirit caused the
name of Tamar to be included? What is the connection between
Tamar, and Ruth? Well firstly both of them are involved in a
Levirate Marriage (see Deut Ch 25 vs 5-10), but this is not the
only connection.
Turn now to Gen Ch 38 where Tamer is found, and in the original
Hebrew, take every 49th letter (7 times 7)and to your amazement
you will find that the following 5 names appear in their correct
order of descent BOAZ RUTH OBED JESSE DAVID.
Yes Bible Codes are real, but be careful what you go looking
for. The Lord our God is Awesome enough, without you trying to
make Him more so.
May He bless you all.

The Biblical significance of the number eight
Which means. Fresh start, new beginning.
Our Lord Jesus was raised on the first day of the following
week, or if you like the eighth day of the previous week.
It could be argued that there are only seven days in a week,
this of course is true, but the expression, "the eighth day",
occurs in 23 verses in the NKJV, nine of which are found in one
book alone, namely Leviticus as below,
Lev 9:1 It came to pass on the eighth day that Moses called
Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.
Lev 12:3 And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall
be circumcised.
Lev 14:10 "And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs
without blemish, one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish,
three-tenths [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with oil as a
grain offering, and one log of oil.
Lev 14:23 He shall bring them to the priest on the eighth day
for his cleansing, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting,
before the LORD.
Lev 15:14 On the eighth day he shall take for himself two
turtledoves or two young pigeons, and come before the LORD, to
the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and give them to the
priest.
Lev 15:29 And on the eighth day she shall take for herself two
turtledoves or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest,
to the door of the tabernacle of meeting.
Lev 22:27 "When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be
seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and
thereafter it shall be accepted as an offering made by fire to
the LORD.
Lev 23:36 [For] seven days you shall offer an offering made by
fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy
convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the
LORD. It [is] a sacred assembly, [and] you shall do no customary
work [on it].
Lev 23:39 'Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when
you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the
feast of the LORD [for] seven days; on the first day [there
shall be] a sabbath-[rest], and on the eighth day a
sabbath-[rest].
The number of persons saved from the flood was eight as Peter
said twice,
1Pe 3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine
longsuffering waited* in the days of Noah, while [the] ark was
being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved
through water.
2Pe 2:5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah,
[one of] eight [people], a preacher of righteousness, bringing
in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
In the verse below, why are told that it was the seventeenth day
? Add 1 to 7 and what do you get? Also what is the number of
the Chapter in which we are told this?
Gen 8:4 Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the
seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.
Seven also means, Divine perfection, completion.
And what about, "The New Covenant",
Jer 31:31 "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I
will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the
house of Judah--
What do you get when you add 3+1+3+1 ?
And when it is repeated in the NT, it is found at,
Hbr 8:8 Because finding fault with them, He says: "Behold, the
days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--
And finally, how many NT verses mention, "eight days", in
connection to Jesus?
There are only three, that is a Trinity of verses referring to
Jesus,
Luk 2:21 And when eight days were completed for the circumcision
of the Child,* His name was called JESUS, the name given by the
angel before He was conceived in the womb.
Luk 9:28 Now it came to pass, about eight days after these
sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the
mountain to pray.
Jhn 20:26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside,
and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and
stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!"
Well that's enough for now, but before I go let me ask you a
question.
How many books of the Bible have the same number of Chapters as
the Bible has books, and why am I asking this question.?
Every blessing.
Edwin.

Riana, you say,
Patrick IS a number freak!
That being the case, he might like this.
In Matthews account of the Genealogy of Jesus, there are 42
generations, which is 6 times 7. Now 6 is the Biblical number
for humanity, and 7 = Divine perfection completion, in other
words we have our attention drawn to the Divine perfection of
Jesus, and His humanity.
Now why do you think that Matthew having just given us the
Genealogy of Jesus from Abraham, should then give us,
Mat 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David were
fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to
Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to
Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.
Notice 3 lots of 14. 3 draws out attention to the Trinity, and
14 is twice 7. Now 2 speaks of Jesus being the second person of
the Trinity, and 7, is once again, Divine perfection completion.
14 is also the numerical equivalent of the three Hebrew letters
that form the name David, and of course Jesus was indeed the Son
of David,
Mat 12:23 And all the people were amazed, and said, "Can this be
the Son of David?"
Luke however, has 77 Generations, Which is 7 times 11. 7 =
Divine perfection completion. Two sevens, and two ones both draw
our attention to the second person of the Trinity.
Those interested in Biblical numerology will Know that the
number 8 refers to "Fresh start, new beginning"
In other words a New Covenant, and where do we find that ?
Jer 31:31 "Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when
I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the
house of Judah,
Now, what total do we get if we add, 3+1+3+1 ?
And when this verse is repeated in the New Testament, we find it
at,
Hbr 8:8 For he finds fault with them when he says: "Behold, the
days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new
covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
Wow, how about that then ?
Every blessing.

And yet another.
The Bible as we have it today is exactly, and precisely how God
intended it to be in the first place, that is, no missing books,
and no additional books, Now if you ask me to provide chapter,
and verse for this then I can't, but for those who are prepared
to accept subliminal messages, then I think I can.
Firstly the OT we have is the same as the Jews had 2000 years
ago, however, there are two differences, firstly they had 36
books, we have 39, but this is only due to the fact that Samuel,
Kings, and Chronicles are for them just 3 books. We have divided
each into 2 parts making 6 books. Secondly their last book is
the one we call 2nd Chronicles, and not Malachi. This book is
included but is inside, not at the end.
Now have a look at Matthew Ch 23 v 35, and compare with 2nd
Chron Ch 24 vs 20-22. This can be seen as Divine approval of all
the 36 books the Jews considered as Holy Scripture, As Abel is
killed in Ch 4 v 8 of the first book, whilst Zechariah was
killed towards the later part of what was then the last book.
This Divine approval can also be seen in Luke Ch 24 v 27 & v 44.
The Jews considered there to be 3 levels of inspiration, Moses
(The first 5 books) to be the most inspired, the Prophets,
slightly less inspired, and the Psalms (Sometimes called the
writings) least inspired of all. Jesus it would seem is saying
that all Scripture is inspired to the same extent.
Now the Bible as a whole has 66 books. I wonder if I can find a
book of the Bible which has 66 Chapters. Yes I can and there is
only one Isaiah. I wonder what I will find if I examine Chapters
39 & 40 the chapters that should correspond with the last book
of the OT, and the first book of the NT.
So now read the last Chapter of 2nd Chron vs 17-21, and compare
with Isaiah Ch 39 vs 5-7, and see if you think that there is a
strong similarity. How about Prophecy and Fulfilment. In other
words Ch 39 of Isaiah indicates the end of the OT.. Now how does
Ch 40 start, v 1 Comfort, comfort my people says your God. To
whom do you think God is speaking? Can't be the Jews, must be us
the Gentiles.
Now have a look at Matthew Ch 3 v 1, and see who we are
introduced to then cf with Isa Ch 40 v 3. Coincidence?, I
wonder. What about John Ch 10 vs 10-11. The Good Shepherd, now
look at Isa Ch 40 vs 10-11. Not another coincidence surely. and
finally Ch 63 yet future the second coming part 2. Need I say
any more.
God bless you all Edwin.

[font=trebuchet ms]I've always believed/trusted that although
man's motives in canonizing the Bible may not always have been
pure, God, nonetheless has had His hand over the outcome and is
ever in control. I believe that, through the Holy Spirit, God
can speak to us through many varied sources, but best of all
through Scripture.[/font]

keep em coming
the generation line that leads to 77 however is in luke though
matthew---------------------------------luke
david ----------------------------------- david
through solomon----------------------- through nathan
leads to jospeph------------------------ leads to mary
and jesus @64 ------------------------- and jesus @77
so if we take david as #36 in these lines
abraham as 22 +14 = david @36
i know much explanation is need to secure these positions of
abraham 22 ((who are the 24 elders)
and then david as #36 ( the lost generationof Jesus ;the TAMAR
story
but if we push through that point for a minute we get
that generation #37
now numerically we say god is {1} and zeros don't count
so 100 is saying the same thing here ( its a math usesage ; like
a slide rule )
back to matthew and the line to JESUS by way of joseph
this represents the old testament
whereas luke and the line to Jesus by way of mary
represents the new testament
the above information then gives us two equations that look like
this
Gods old testament plan ------ = JESUS and with david
100 ----------------------------- = 64 &(+) 36
Gods new testament plan ------ = JESUS and with ------"x"
100 ------------------------------ = 77 &(+)
"who" -----23
if we are to seek out the who --------"x"
mathematicaly they need to be seen in terms of "23"
expounded numbers
simple gematria ; seen in the equation
n + n squared
------------------ = the number of 1 + 2 + 3 .... up to n
2
thus; if n= 4
then the exponded number of 4 = 10
as seen by
4 + (4x4)
----------- = ten
2
the number 23 expounded is 276
who has a 276 in their story
have you picked your canidate yet?
we know the story of noah and those eight souls onboard ; but
maybe what we should see was 4 married couples
and now that (3) JESUS has (9) manifacation or APPEARENCE
MAYBE WE TOO NEED TO GET ON THE BOAT
ACTS 27:6 Paul gets on a boat
ACTS 27:37 276 SOULS ARE SAVED
SO THOSE EQUATIONS NOW READ ( mathematically)
Gods plan = OT ; JESUS & DAVID = NT; JESUS AND PAUL
100------- = 64 + 36 = 77 +
23
LOL; JUST AN EXAMPLE OF A NUMBER FREAK who seeks to see the
bible story
so keep em coming
