|
I came across a passing reference to it in a recent article and |
|
my memory of what it represents being shaky, googled it. It |
|
seems they still adhere to most of the core beliefs and |
|
practices of Judaism but also believe that Jesus Christ was the |
|
foretold Messiah. Anyway, this site gives a brief summary of |
|
each of the major differences between it and mainstream |
|

I recall when my wife and I visited Israel with a church group |
|
in 1994 our guide was an Israeli Messianic Jew called Eli. Not |
|
much of that emerged in the course of the week or so, except on |
|
the last day when he participated with us in the taking of the |
|
bread and wine conducted by our pastor in the upper room in the |
|
old part of Jerusalem where the last supper was reputed to have |
|
taken place. |
