| I wonder how they would react? | |

| If a deity exists but is nothing like the one described in the | |
| Bible or Koran, I wonder how those whose lives have been ruled | |
| by a very extreme version of their particular brand of faith | |
| would react? | |

| I think it is highly likely that God is different to how we | |
| imagine. The portrayals vary according to belief system and | |
| can't all be right. God is for everyone and encompasses all. If | |
| we meet God after life we will be fine. There's no point in | |
| speculating. | |

| Death could be the end and there is no afterlife. | |

| In which case we will know nothing and it will be the end of us, | |
| which won't bother us because we won't know! I'm not afraid of | |
| death but I do hope not to be in much pain, disabled or lose | |
| independence. I think most people worry about that but not all | |
| the time, it just pops into our minds occasionally. | |

| I am an agnostic so I have no idea if death is the end of our | |
| existence or there is an afterlife. Like you Lyn from time to | |
| time I do hope I am not in pain and well taken care of. | |

| The problem with the question is that such definitive evidence | |
| of the true nature of the deity is clearly not available in this | |
| life, so there can be no reaction to what isn't there. At best, | |
| it would only be available if there is life (or consciousness) | |
| after death. The question, then, is purely hypothetical. | |

| I agree my question is purely hypothetical. | |

| If you search history about Jesus Christ you will find that the | |
| Christian religion is the true one. You do this by reading the | |
| Bible (O.T and N.T). You need Faith to accept this. Faith here | |
| meaning the supernatural gift of God enabling us to believe in | |
| whatever He has revealed. Early Christians were uneducated and | |
| shunned away from intellectual debates with the Greeks on | |
| philosophy. These Christians died for their Faith, under Nero | |
| and others.They truly believed. | |
