New Zealand or Camp Tarawa? |

Take a look at the attached picture. My dad is in the center |
|
and the other Marines I think are H&S 2 men. This has to be |
|
either New Zealand or Camp Tarawa. What do you think? |

Glad to hear from you. Definitely not here in NZ. Yes we can |

grow some cactus, here, at our homes, never seen wild catus, in |
|
all my bush hikes. |

More likely Hawaii at Camp Tarawa. Never really associate it |
|
with the Islands but looked it up and they do have them.. |
|
Pendleton has a lot if he was ever stationed there... |

I have two series of pictures of H&S Marines. One group is |
|
definitely NZ as they were visiting some sort of Garden with |
|
girls and tiki images around. The second series is the H&S |
|
Marines sitting around the cactus which is one of the pictures I |
|
posted. There could have been radio training at Camp Pendleton. |
|
The ranks on the sleaves might help to identify the approximate |
|
date too. I will do some more checking and report back! |

Just flipping the pic for viewing on phone in landscape. I'm 100 |
|
in the Pendleton camp. Looks like here. Pendleton just up the |
|
road 75 miles. Looks like that area. My guess. |
