| Upgrading to a new tank | |

| Hi everyone! | |
| So I'm a couple of weeks away from upgrading my current 55 | |
| gallon tank to 300 gallon tank (96"x24"x30") and I'm just a | |
| little excited plus a lot of anxiety to go with it. I'm | |
| planning on cycling the new tank using Seachem Stability and I | |
| was thinking about getting a number of tiger barbs to help get | |
| the cycle going? I'm reluctant to use any filter material from | |
| my current tank because I unfortunately ended up with MTS in my | |
| 55 gallon and I don't want any part of them in my new tank. | |
| Assuming that strategy is sound my next question has to do with | |
| introducing my current cichlids to the new tank. I know as you | |
| change the bioload you need to give the filter a chance to catch | |
| up. Am I safe using Stability daily with the tiger barbs and | |
| then do I want to slowly introduce the cichlids or do I pull out | |
| the tiger barbs and introduce the cichlids all at once? If I do | |
| stagger out the introduction do I move the oldest, largest fish | |
| first since they are likely the most robust? My concern with | |
| that is then introducing the smaller fish still growing out once | |
| the big boys take hold of their territory (then again I have a | |
| lot more real estate than I did in the past ;D) | |
| Any advice from people that have made a big move like this | |
| before would be greatly appreciated!! | |

| If your using Stability, and you follow the directions on the | |
| bottle, you won't need Tigerbarbs. | |
| Congrats on the upgrade! | |
