| Im about to buy a filter for a new planted tank that I'm going | |
| to be setting up and I was wanting to know how much filtration | |
| do I need. I heard that I need to turn over the water 3 time is | |
| that try? | |

| Filtration for a planted tank is more about the fish your | |
| keeping, than the benefit for the plants. | |
| What type of fish are you planning? | |
| What size tank are you going for? | |
| I would imaging, that if your cycling your tank 3 times an hour | |
| you've got good filtration for most fish. | |
| Personally, I don't think you can over filter your tank. | |
