What is the most expensive fish you have seen on general sale in |

your LFS? |

I was in my LFS the other day and was in the "random" section, |
|
always my favourite bit of the shop as there can literally be |
|
anything in amongst the big tanks, and seen a rather expensive |
|
stingray. It was a Pearl Stingray, asking price a snip at |
|
�750.00. That is 1190 US dollars, 1350 Canadian dollars or 1370 |
|
Aussie dollars for comparison. |
|
Anyone seen anything more expensive in there LFS? |
|
Needless to say I bought two ....... NOT. |

In my country I haven't seen any fish crossing 400$ :) |
|
Fishes in my country are rather cheap I dont know if they send |
|
lower grade :P |
|
And expensive fishes will be flowerhorn, arowana, garr and |
|
stingrays :D |

They seem to breed a lot of the big fish more extensively in |
|
Asia in big outdoor ponds. Must help keep the prices down. A lot |
|
of the cost overseas comes from the shipping no doubt and of |
|
course the rarity of the fish. |

yeah that may be the reason , when I hear the price of fishes |
|
outside my country I am like :o :o |

I've seen an African stingray on sale at a store in my area for |
|
$4000. They said its super rare. I found it crazy to think |
|
some one would pay that. Be cheaper to fly to Africa and catch |
|
one.hahahaha |
