Lima Shovelnose

I found a lima at a local fish store and couldn't pass it up.
I've read about these fish online plenty but never seen one in
person. This fish is awesome. He's(or she????) swims around
more then any other catfish I have ever owned. He likes to swim
vertically and will hold it just under the surface for about 10
seconds then swim down and do it all over again. Its really
cool to watch. I cant wait to see him at full size. Anyone
ever had one? Very happy to own such a neat fish.

It is a cool catfish! Personally, I think this guy is one of the
few shovelnose cats that is really suitable for a home aquaria
than the other giant shovelnoses you see out there. Tiger
Shovelnose, Juruense, Tigrinus, Caprapetum, Piraiba... need I
say more? Lol. :D
