I want to thank John for letting me know about Craigs list add |
|
for tanks ! I found a guy 84 miles from my home wanting out of |
|
the hobby and he is selling me a 160 gal tank and canister |
|
filter with a new led light system basically everything for 300 |
|
bucks !!! I will be getting the tank this weekend :-) Holla |
|
!!!! I am so stoked ! Now I will feel like a real cichlid keeper |

I picked up a 220 gallon set up a couple of weeks ago for $250. |
|
The seller stated the tank leaked but when I filled it up it |
|
showed no leaks over night. My plans are to reseal it before |
|
putting it in service anyway as it will be in my newly renovated |
|
office and sleeping well at night is something I enjoy. The key |
|
I have found is to watch craigslist daily and move on the good |
|
deals quickly as someone like me sure will. |

I Know how you feel Justin a friend of mine is cutting back on |
|
the hobby and is giving me a 150 with stand lid lights and |
|
undergravel filter. As for Craigslist I have the phone app it |
|
helps to keep an eye on things for sale there's a free and paid |
|
version of it |

Finally got my 160 up and running! I didn't realize how hard |
|
this would be lol but it was defiantly a challenge. From leaking |
|
pipes to over flow to sump. Now its running smoothly and just |
|
waiting for the cycle process to complete. Feels good knowing I |
|
have all the room I will need now for my african cichlids. John |
|
I will be ready to make my first order from you real soon !! Yay |

I added some fish to my sump to speed up the cycle..gourami's |
|
are the best at cycling...They have the ability to breath air or |
|
oxygen in the water. So no matter the water type they will be |
|
fine. I have used this pair of gourami for the last four of my |
|
tanks lol. They are great at setting up my tanks. |
