Chassis width weight ground clearance suspension geometry power
output. So pretty much everything lol the ltr sits lower is
wider thus more stable has better factory suspension components
and geometry and is faster. The ltz400 has reverse.

There are too many variables for a specific answer. It depends
on what year of a Z400 you are speaking about because there are
differences between the early years and the middle years and the
current years of the Z400. The LTR450 was basically the same
from conception to its end in 2009 with a few engine upgrades in
the 2008 and 2009 model. Basically, to answer your question at
its simplest, the Z400 is a great all around quad for
recreational riders. The better years are 2005 and up; the 2009+
years now have fuel injection. The 450 is more of a race style
bike and is designed to suit motocross or more aggressive
riders.

Thanks... A guy on suzuki central that makes custom kits...
Pretty much anything you can think of.....
I love my z.... It's been the most reliable bike I've owned.
Never an issue. I had an ltr.... Also awesome bike! Super
fast, great handling machine. Loved it. The z is just a better
bike for the trails I use it in.... If I always rode more wide
open trails, and fire roads, it would be the ltr. But for tight
trails, the z is great for me. It is also bullet proof and
requires little maintenance..... Just my thoughts.... The
reverse is nice in the woods too....
