| I use 1/8" aluminum shims that I stack between the carrier and | |
| rear most part of the swinger to keep the 91-92 axle straight. I | |
| haven't thrown a chain since. | |

| Looks like the front left bolt holding the carrier in place is | |
| loose?If so the twisting could easily break the rear plate and | |
| cause slack/misalignment in the chain. | |

| My carrier used to work loose with washers... until I replaced | |
| them with the OEM bolts. | |

| Something torqued the carrier forward on the left side. You can | |
| see where the stud broke it started to take the thread with it. | |
| I wonder it you picked up a rock in between the chain and | |
| sprocket.....? | |
