| What is your favorite book? | |

| My favorite book is A Feast for Crows. It is the last in the | |
| series that follows the storylines of most of the characters I'm | |
| most invested in, mainly the Stark kids. It also introduces new | |
| characters that add to the ever expansive GRRM world. Much of | |
| the plot is foggy to me because I read it two years ago, but I | |
| know this book is where Cersei finally gets her comeuppance, and | |
| that makes me super happy. | |

| A Feast For Crows is a great read. Been a few years since i | |
| read it but with the way he book ends with Jon Snow being | |
| treated by his brothers and the son of the Prince of Dorne just | |
| landing on Westeros with the Golden Company behind him leaves me | |
| guessing whether we already know the character somehow or is he | |
| a completely new character ( I'm hoping it might be Bronn but it | |
| could be any other character we have had a glimpse at already. | |
| dorne are the sleeping giant and its gonna get messy real quick. | |
| Arya and her training is one of the best parts of her book, | |
| learning to change her face, I cant wait for her to travel back | |
| to Westeros and exact her vengeance! | |
| Also Tyrion in Easteros is interesting, will he help Danerys or | |
| not, i reckon he will. Sorry for the spelling mistakes :) | |

| I totally agree. I'd have to say the follow up book 5 is my | |
| least favorite mostly because there are characters from the | |
| previous books the author does not include. So, we must wait | |
| until book 6 to find out the fates of quite a few. I realize he | |
| actually--George Double R Martin--wrote a huge story that was | |
| subsequently broken into two separate novels that became books 4 | |
| and 5. I just wish he'd organized it differently. | |

| That just says to me George RR Martin isn't the writing god some | |
| people claim him to be. He's also an established author; so he | |
| doesn't have to try as hard. Readers see a 900 page book by GRRM | |
| and buy it expecting greatness. | |
| On a side note, has anyone read GRRM's "Fevre Dream"? I've heard | |
| it's really good and have thought about getting it on several | |
| occasions. | |
| By the way, I liked the first 3 books best. I, personally, had a | |
| hard time getting through Book 4. | |

| I'll have to check out that book and see if I can find it in the | |
| library. | |
| Unfortunately, many established authors get to the point where | |
| they don't try very hard, or they lose sight of what made them | |
| famous in the first place. And some are just overrated. They | |
| think they can write anything and they can't. Anne Rice is a | |
| great author to me, but her attempt at werewolf lore was a big | |
| disappointment after the Vampire Chronicles. I struggled through | |
| the first book, Wolf Gift, and gave up after about 100 pages in | |
| the sequel Wolves of Midwinter. It was just ridiculous, like she | |
| was trying to be so profound and philosophical. And I really | |
| didn't like the main protagonist. | |
