| My review of Project Zomboid: The Pre-Alpha Zombie Uprising | |

| Let me start by explaining why I'm writing this and what I'm | |
| writing about. | |
| I'm currently installing SR:TT, so I thought I might as well do | |
| something first. | |
| Project Zomboid is a Java-based game (like Minecraft) that uses | |
| the isometric viewpoint engine (e.g. Sims 1). It combines | |
| crafting, needs, wants, weapons with free-roam Zombies. | |
| Your character requires needs such as hunger, sleep and | |
| warmth/shelter. But it also has quite a realistic damage system. | |
| Like, you get raped by a horde of zombies in your bathroom, you | |
| manage to escape but you're bleeding from your right shin and | |
| left arm. You need to convert a shirt into bandages and you need | |
| painkillers. That's what it's like. | |
| Did I mention it was free roam? | |
| At the moment, it's in pre-alpha. So it's not Alpha, it's not | |
| Beta, but it's before them. This means that- although there are | |
| hardly any- it's not without bugs and it's not optimized for | |
| multi-core processors (yet) | |
| However, onto my opinion. | |
| I think it's a brilliant mini-game at the moment. It's an | |
| excellent game to play while you're waiting for a game to | |
| install, waiting for something to finish downloading, or you're | |
| just not in the mood for SR:TT or any other game. | |
| Future updates include interactive NPCs, multi-core | |
| optimization, map cells (e.g. you go to the edge of one map and | |
| it loads another, like Minecraft) and saving (yes, the game | |
| doesn't have saving at the moment) | |
