LBD's Film Review topic

The Adjustment Bureau
What can i say about this film?
It truly is a masterclass. Matt Damon gives yet another
outstanding performance and Emily Blunt does a fine job also.
Theres times when this film can just make the mind boggle, i
dont want to say too much without ruining it but it is very
clever indeed, an impressive idea. On a scale of mind boggling
confusion it is probably only second to Inception. In my
opinion, at least, a great film and well worth a watch.

X-Men: First Class
OK so first off this is not an awful film, its not a great film
tho, its probably an average film. James McAvoy, surprinsingly,
makes a pretty decent Charles and played his role well. Not sure
of the guy who plays Erik, but he also does a fine job. Its
quite interesting to learn how Charles and Erik met and then
became friends. Kevin Bacon makes a decent enough bad guy, hard
to take seriously if you've seen Footloose tho! The only problem
i have with this film is that its never really truly
spectacular, theres no real massive things that jump out at me
bar the bit with Erik and the Sub, which you see in the trailer.
Saying that i did find it interesting to find out a bit of
background history. Also the Hank and Mystique storyline is
quite interesting. There are some comedy moments too so maybe i
do it an injustice by saying its ok, its worth a watch, maybe
not a buy tho. Also it leaves you with no closure on anything,
theres alot of questions to be asked but i guess we'll see in
the next film.
Like i say tho, worth a watch, just maybe not a buy!
Please understand that this is my opinion, you may all have
different opinions, which is fine. This is merely the way i felt
tho.
;D

50/50
OK so can't really say too much about this film without spoiling
it. Basically its about a young guy, 27 year old, who is
diagnosed with has a rare type of tumour and is diagnosed with
cancer. He has a 50/50 chance of survival. The film is about how
his girlfriend, family, best friend and therapist all cope and
help him to manage with it. Seth Rogen is brilliant as his best
friend, by my reckoning, the stand out actor in the film. There
are some very funny bits and, based on what its about, some very
serious bits. It is well worth a watch and a definite 5 star
movie in my opinion.
